I’m not sure the established car companies are very actively trying to stop Electric cars - they all have a range of cars already available and many more in the pipeline. Depends on how much you can afford!!
Apart from the cost, I’m not sure that I’d like to be in an air-conditioned environment all day long and spend virtually all of the daytime hours outside under shade. It’s still fairly hot but bearable

There was/is a cable break somewhere west of Singapore. Cable name is SEA-ME-WE 5. This will only affect international traffic though.
