Re: UK passport renewal has not arrive
Just embarked on trying to renew my son's passport, 1st problem is trying to obtain an appointment with the new Visa Application Centre in BKK to submit the application. As instructed, sent an email last week requesting an appointment towards end of June, this was their response, they took 3 days to...

Re: Satellite solutions
With an andriod box, there is an app ilikehdtv, which has many sport channels that might have golf. English Sports monthly package is 400 baht a month.
This is a good alternative to UBC, as it contains most channels that UBC offer.

Re: Satellite solutions
recommend Thai expat tv for English TV, gave up my UBC 8 months ago and have never looked back. I see a lot of people share a concern over streaming tv over the internet, but this service works well, since the servers are based in Thailand. To set this up, I recommend an andriod media box, a good on...

Re: buying a TV
You can find Bones on XBMC, 1Channel, I haven't watched this, but there are 9 Seasons worth there. History channel can be found on an andriod app called Ilikehdtv, although some programs are dubbed in Thai, as this is a Thai streaming app connected with True Move, subscription based at 200baht a mon...

Re: buying a TV

Connected it to my home wifi, and now can watch youtube without passing through a computer. Amazing what they have these days. Think tv will be going digital so make sure you ge...

Re: An alternative to Petchkasem Rd when heading up to Bangk
The mini vans to Vic. Mon. are running as usual, have been all the time, except when Phetchkasem rd was blocked by the farmers a couple of weeks ago. The stage at victory monument has been removed and is heavily congested with traffic again. This week should be interesting as the police have been gi...

Re: WATCHING UK TV ON LAPTOP via VPN Service
I recommend you take a look at ThaiExpat.tv, which stream uk tv from servers in Thailand, which bypasses VPN servers (some of which are really dodgy), and the sometimes poor international bandwidth.

Re: Mobile phone expired validity
Just thought i'd give some info on why SIMs have validity periods on them...operators like DTAC have to pay license fees on all numbers active in their networks..with 25 million active subscribers in DTAC, license fees are substantial. To minimise this, operators recycle numbers. With prepaid cards,...
