Re: Biopsy due to possible skin cancer on face

Aldara cream was available last year when I used it. OTC but very expensive.

Speaking of expense . . .my bills from Dr Chaisit are a pleasant shock. Just a drop in the bucket compared to BNH in Bangkok!

Re: Biopsy due to possible skin cancer on face

Thanks so much for the recommendation Joelle! I have had two appts with Dr. Chaisit and am pleased with the kindness and professionalism. People may wish to know that the clinic has moved to Hua Hin Soi 35. The clinic is just after the intersection of Soi 35 and Petchkasem and in the only commercial...

Looking for a dermatologist

Biopsy and skin cancer. Just now dealing with a melanoma which was removed and found malignant. My hospital is BNH in Bangkok and I can see that dealing with the dermatologists there will be costly as anything they do will involve many trips to Bangkok from here in Hua Hin. I have been to Dr. Niwat ...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

We are on the list for our second jab on the 28th, Tuesday. . . .along with a thousand other lucky folks. No queue number. Apparently we all just show up on Tuesday and scramble. Does anyone have any strategy for doing this with the minimum amount of time spent "scrambling" and waiting aro...

Re: Hua Hin dual-track rail project to go ahead

I think we have passed at least a dozen so far still well south of bang sapan now. Many with just dirt roads accessing them. I thought land purchase issues too but all of the straight road crossing are public domain roads... Right?

Re: Hua Hin dual-track rail project to go ahead

Here is a question for the engineers or architects or anyone else in the know. We are currently on our way north from chump on and passing under any number of uturn type overpasses. Presumably meant to keep road traffic out of the way of trains. Best local example.. Palm hills crossing. Why not take...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

This may be of interest. I had previously ( about a month ago) registered with Hua hin Hospital and received a registration number and then a queue number (9600's). I got into the habit of checking every day and checked this morning to see how to cancel now that I have my first jab. Anyone know how ...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

Update on our covid experience from the bang Sue center as we wait for 30 minutes after receiving our AZ shots. Very impressed!! 30 min total through registration, BP check etc. Helpful people all the way. Over 75 waiting lines nonexistent. Easy to social distance. No wait outside. We arrived at 11:...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

Big Boy, I am well over 75. The problem I am having is the seemingly contradictory language in that announcement. "Over 60 and living in a red province. Fill out the form ( which BTW only lists red provinces) Otherwise check with local provincial authorities." This seems very clear and exc...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

We are planning to drive up from Cha Am to the Bang Sue site on Friday. Does anyone have recent experience ( yesterday, today?) with travel from here into a red zone. Is it possible to get to Bang Sue ( purpose of travel. .get vaccinated) and to return home again to Cha Am without having to quaranti...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

In clicking on the HHH website link for covid injections, there is a choice of Thai or English. Comparing the two, there is obviously twice as much info in Thai as in English including the number 11,577 which does not appear in the English version of this page. Anybody care to share why there is thi...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

Just checked and I appear to have gotten a queue number ( 9651) Original schedule was for the 8th at 11:00. Obviously not gonna happen. Is this the best way to check when I will actually get the injection? The HHH website is confusing and I am afraid that I will miss it. If there is a special hospit...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

Queue numbers 3384-3534 ? I have successfully registered and have a 13 digit registration number which, when entered into the linked HHH website tells me I have successfully registered. Where is the queue number coming from? None of the numbers on my slip from registration look like that ( four digi...
