Re: Korean Plane Crash Dec 29, 2024

As pharvey wrote, this was a multi factor incident as most major air crashes are. A loss of one engine should not normally result in the loss of an aircraft. The pilot should have done a go around and assess his options, what systems lost, alternative landing area etc, he should have had enough fue...

Re: Russian arrested in Hua Hin with multiple drugs seized

Because its where I live and I can't think of any apartments or condo's (can't think of any condos full stop) aimed at farangs. He...

Re: Post Cataract Operation Care

I had the same problem a good few years ago with Doc Pairat. He told me that my condition wasn't bad enough to warrant surgery. Having been told that I embarked on a trip back to Blighty, hired a car at M/Cr airport and drove to my home town of Bury by memory as I could barely see the road signs. I ...

Re: Thailand general election fundamentally flawed: Human Rights Watch

Yep, good summary of events so far. Thai politics in a nutshell ... A pack of decrepit old rich blokes squabbling over positions of power that will enable their further enrichment over the next four years at the expense of the country and its population. Sums up politics worldwide IMO :rasta:

Well Pita didn't make it because the senate voted against. Huge numbers already gathering in BKK. I doubt there will be peaceful protests. It's more likely to be riots! Move Forward Party Pita Limjaroenrat failed in this bid to be elected prime minister by the Parliament, receiving just 324 votes i...
