Personally didn't like Sofitel lack of atmosphere as you said.

HYatt defint. the best between Hyatt, Hilton and Sofitel.
LOcation would prefer Hilton than Sofitel.

Would like to know what can be find right on the beach.
Any bars,any small business (eating and drinking) like we can find in phuket beaches?
It's a pity coz the price fo 500 bath is good but we arrived at 9h00pm and hope traffic to hua hin will be light
