Whilst I agree, I suspect it was forced on them by the operators of BluPort, they've also closed the banks on that floor.

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions
As I mentioned earlier, after waiting 90 mins in a crowded main Immigration Office with many others in the at risk category, I was ushered away because my proofs of income and letter from Bangkok Bank weren't sufficicient to satisfy the Immigration Officer that I met the financial requirement. I the...

Re: Covid19 - updates on visa extensions
I believe Etihad have cancelled all flights from tomorrow and at the same time transit passengers are not allowed to transit Abu Dhabi. Emirates have suspended all flights, BA are not flying out of BKK from the weekend, I’m also aware that Turkish are not flying out of BKK. I understand that Malaysi...

Re: Covid19 - updates on visa extensions
As a matter of interest, given that a twelve month statement is only available from Bangkok, can you submit two six months statements? Are home printed statements accepted, I imagine not? I asked about the credit advices yesterday in BluPort, I signed a form and was assured that I would be emailed t...

Re: Covid19 - updates on visa extensions
Three required proofs of income? Can you expand please? I was confident I was jumping through every hoop, but now need to know what the 3 are. As I said, I submitted my bank book, clearly showing the required transactions, the transactions were only over two pages as I only use the BKK account to r...

Re: Covid19 - updates on visa extensions
I was went to the main office in Hua Hin yesterday to renew my extension based on retirement for the 13th time. last year was a breeze, with the guy processing my application, based on income, being polite and efficient, I was in and out in ten minutes or so. What a difference a year makes, yesterda...

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
Can somebody please confirm what I actually need to satisfy Hua Hin Immigration that I meet the 65k a month for a twelve month period? I have had a a BKK account at Bluport and now have 12 monthly transactions of the correct amount all coded FTT. I understood that all I needed was to ask for a state...

Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online
What a difference a day makes, yesterday the seats outside were full, I’ve just been again and as I picked up a number, it was called and I was out in a couple of minutes.
Tried the app yesterday, it didn’t work.

I’ve noticed that recently that office has become very busy, standing room only inside with a fair number of chairs now positioned outside, almost all occupied, I’ve seen that a few times of late.europtimiste wrote:For me easier to go to the new office or Blueport.

Re: International Driving Permit and Insurance
I’ve rechecked with the rental company and they’ve now confirmed that providing that my licence has the details in English, then an IDP isn’t required.
I suspect the incorrect advice came from a bot as I asked via their online chat, another lesson learned.

Re: International Driving Permit and Insurance
I need an IDP for a couple of rentals in the UK in the summer, previously my car hire companies have accepted my Thai licence, but Eurocar insist on an IDP, I should have checked before I booked the rentals.
Can I get one in Pranburi?
Thanks

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Transferwise
Bangkok Bank quoted me a charge of 500 baht if I wanted an entire 12 month report, but 6 months was free. Did you manage to get the twelve month statement from Bangkok Bank? I opened an account with them in Bluport for the sole reason of receiving cash via TW, which I then transfer to KK, so far te...

I never thought I’d ever have regarded 40 Baht to the Pound Sterling as cause for celebrating, how things have changed.

Re: Buffalo Bills
For the avoidance of doubt, I didn’t know him well, I never said I did, it’s just that I found him to be an amiable host when I did visit his restaurant and stay in his accommodation as a paying customer. It’s a shame that others saw another side of him which I don’t doubt for a minute, I do wish hi...
