Somtawin transcript/Stanford credits - wearisome dead ends

Does anyone have a contact at Somtawin? I need to have someone nudge the registrar, try to make it clear to her that my son really DOES need his transcript to graduate. I've tried the usual requisite ways: mail and phone, several times each method, periodically since 12 of 2006. On the other hand, i...

I have a friend who probably was served something like a "date rape drug" by the bar in the Hilton disco. A nice girl offered to let him take a sip out of her very blue drink in order to check it out before he was to order something. He was sober but have no memories after that. The girl ...

Thanks, Randy.

I live here. I am concerned. Not for myself - I'm a 52 year old falang - but am concerned for my son.

Puzzle pieces don't fit for a period of time, and they should. The situation is baffling and a bit frightening.

Again, I chose the wrong forum for this topic.

Wrong forum, sorry.

Where should I post this for serious responses?

No, I'm not looking to score. Just need some info to figure out if intervention might be required in a recent situation.

Yes, I've looked on the WWW. I am now fairly knowledgeable, but I'm aiming to be specific to this area.

I was in HH last year and the ones that I saw there were nothing like the bad ones that we get here, they are about the size of a dinner plate and bigger, so are easy to spot. The ones that we have here are very small, but the tenticals are very long and that is what wraps round you and causes all ...

My neighbours English kids go to an International school between Hua Hin and Cha Am Could you possibly find out and post the name of that school along with the grade levels taught? So far as I know, Somtawin is the only international EP school in HH area, and is primary through grade level 9 this y...

Meeng-ga-prun (jellyfish) Any other jf stories or cures?

I'm opening this topic again as there are concerns and questions about jellyfish dangers that haven't had much in way of response. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with jf? My very limited experience with jellyfish in HH has me thinking that jellyfish here tend to be in loose categorie...

COOK WANTED 5 x weekly, Thai dinner for family of 3

I don't have any connections! Are there any women (or men) who might be able to share ideas of where to find someone who is able and willing to purchase food, cook a Thai dinner, clean up and go home. I'd like this maybe five times per week, days flexible, for a family of 3 or sometimes 4. Does any...

Recommend good photo studio?

Are there any of you in Hua Hin experienced with a good studio for professional quality photos? I want local settings and someone who'd be willing to take a few pics that might be just a bit risque. No, not buff.

No-frills Bicycle(s) Wanted (moved from Ask the Expats)

I'm interested in buying one or two bikes for my teenage boys. They're both taller than me  so that puts them at 5'7" or more. I don't want to spend a lot of money and they don't need anything fancy. Anything that's used and in pretty good shape I'd like to have a look at. Both kids are ...
