Someone going to Kuala in the nearest future? Help needed
Hello! I need some help! Is there by any chance anyone going to Kuala Lumpur and back to Thailand (Hua Hin or Bangkok) in the nearest couple of months? Leaving KL I left my phone in my airbnb hosts car. It just dropped out of my pocket on the back seat. The good news is that it's not lost or got in ...

Re: Taxi to airport early 27/3 or late 26/3
From my own experience. Last year I went to the airport with the last bus, I had flight at about 7 am. Though it was 5 times cheaper then taking a taxi, I had to spend long and boring night at the crowdy airport entrance hall near a 7/11 not being able to get into the duty free area, etc. as my chec...

Me too. But as I have written, despite they use the same coffeemaker, the taste - to my great regret - is not the same.

Re: Vietnamese brewed coffee found in Khao Takiab
Thanks to the recommendations above I went and found the Yummy Corner. Well, their coffee is good, they grind it right in front of you and it's stong and fresh. I went there for the vietnamese style coffee which I got addicted to in Vietnam 3 years ago. Thought the coffee is quite good, it's still m...

Re: Kanchanaburi border open for visa runs
After revising google satellite photos I must admit that Frank Hovis and Gérard are right and my coordinates were wrong. Seems like in the end of the journey I took the correct turn left and then didn't look at the map at all.

Re: Kanchanaburi border open for visa runs
I know for sure that people on the 10th of January paid 700 baht there. We were charged 900 each and when I tried to say that it should have been 700 baht, officers said: it used to be 700 but raised upt o 900 due to bla-bla-bla... I also noticed that the amounts in their notebook were all like 900,...

Yes, I found them on two other different forums and used myself to make a route in google maps. Got right to the place.Frank Hovis wrote:Are you sure?

Re: What brought you to Hua Hin?
Strange that you paid 12.000 bahts for a studio in Prachuap. I live alone too, but I prefer a house and I found a furnished one for 5000/month, no luxury but comfortable, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, air in one bedroom only, on 400 m2 land. I spent about three days driving around on my bike but didn't succ...

Re: What brought you to Hua Hin?
The town is really nice, I still have good friendship relations with an old lady, the owner of the house I first rented in Prachuap, with an old man from Austria - my neighbour in 2010 - who I go to visit every year. However, there not many places to spend an evening playing pool or listening to liv...

Re: What brought you to Hua Hin?
Me and my friend decided to go to warm countries to spend our 6 winter months in 2010. The plan was to go to Thailand for the first 3 months and then move to Vietnam for the second half. We chose a small town Prachuap Khiri Khan, 100km to the South from Hua Hin as we wanted to stay away from tourist...
