Re: American seriously considering HH for May retirement

As a retired American living in Thailand, I agree with much of what HHF said above, but might differ on the cost of medical care, depending on your age, since most Americans above 65 can avail themselves of the Medicare benefit for little/no cost when living in the USA. In contrast, overseas you ar...

Re: US Embassy Thailand terrorism warning

Now, I'm not getting a dig in here, but you boys that paid a visit to Vietnam back in the day, didn't have a squeaky clean reputation either. Obliterating innocent women and children is,in my mind, a lot worse that urinating on the bodies of dead head hunters.

Good analogy

Re: US Embassy Thailand terrorism warning

My conclusion......................it's so sad that the west is slowly but surely becoming it's own worst enemy through weakness, and a blind obsession to be 'politically correct'. :( I agree that political correctness, other than honest conversation, is making a weaker position against this threat...

JAFO,

Thanks for trying! And thank you for the info. What set-up do you use for Thailand, as I am curious to see what really works there.

But in a surprising diplomatic rebuke, Thailand complained about the impact of Washington's counter-terrorism strategy on its economically crucial tourism industry.

Re: Ways to watch a downloaded movie on your TV

Please keep in mind preloaded Netflix and other streaming websites will not be accessible here. The content is blocked. I am hoping someone finds a way around that but I seriously doubt it unless you ping through multiple IP's tricking Netflix, Hulu etc into thinking your IP connection is in the US...

Re: Ways to watch a downloaded movie on your TV

Recently bought a internet TV and blu ray internet player. The TV is ready set for netflix, napster, and about 8 others. With the blu ray you can log on to the internet so anything available plays there. Like hooking the TV to a computer, but a bit more direct. Now the wife can watch lakorns on you...
