Railway Road Shops

Afternoon everyone, What strength is there in the rumours that shops are closing in Railway Road due to the new railway system. I'm talking about Soi Phrom Suke/ Soi 68 and the road that runs past the top of Soi 80 from the railway station to Soi 88 railway crossing. I mean the shops that back on to...

Car Parking Sensor

Whilst my car was being cleaned recently the buzzer related to the reversing/parking sensor was broken. It's only a small piece of kit that requires just a couple of spot solders to install however, I am unable to find one in Hua Hin. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Maybe a hobby shop ??

Last Will and Testament

My apologies as I know this subject has been covered before. I've looked through previous posts and cannot find the answer to my question. Very simply, does anyone have a Will covering their assets in Thailand that I could have a copy of in Thai and English please. Obviously I do not wish to see the...

Re: Report to Immigration

I thought so too HHTel, however, I remember seeing something on this forum a while back about having to report to Immigration even if you had been out of "this province" for only a couple of days. Hence, my confusion.

Re: Driving Licence MUST be carried at all times ?

OK, if the law "on most of the planet" requires you to carry a driving licence I can accept that. However, in my experience in Europe if you are found to be driving without your licence on you then a reasonable time is allowed, (in the UK I think it is 7 days), to produce the licence.........

Driving Licence MUST be carried at all times ?

I was on my motorbike this afternoon and got stopped on the little road that connects the beach road and Petchakasem road and asked for my driving licence. I didn't have it with me as I was in swimming gear but told the officer through my G/F that I would take it to the station later. Within less th...

Re: Air Conditioning - Service/Repair

I had 3 guys working here on 2 x units for about an hour and a half. Total cost for cleaning and re-gassing was about 1200 Baht if I remember correctly.

Thai Buddhism's Supreme Patriarch dies at 100.

Looks like the bars will be closed tonight and for a few days according to my g/f. This man was a personal friend of HM The King of Thailand.

Re: Driving license

Completed the process of getting 5 year licence for both car and motorbike today and I just want to confirm that the MEDICAL CERT was needed. I deliberately held it back to see what the reaction would be and she asked for it specifically. All in all a pain in the bum but I have to say that for the t...

Re: Driving license

Last week I went to Pranburi to renew my 5 year licence(s). I had to bring evidence of my address from HH immigration, plus a copy of my passport details page, my Non O visa page, my entry stamp page and my white exit slip. Double everything if you want a bike licence as well. I also showed my old ...
