Re: Global Warming 2

Latest out of the US. Louisiana state Rep. Lenar Whitney (R) is accusing liberals, such as former Vice President Al Gore, of advancing "the greatest deception in the history of mankind" -- man-made climate change -- in a scheme to empower the executive branch and increase taxes. “A specter is haunti...

Re: Thai lady murdered in Hin Lek Fai

No doubt in the future police will be looking for "someone"

Re: Experts' anger over 'invisible' rabies death toll.

And you are worried about rabies!!!! Species on Earth are going extinct at least 1,000 times faster than they would be without human influence, new research finds. But there's still time to save the world from this biodiversity disaster. Between 100 and 1,000 species per million go extinct every yea...

Re: Global Warming 2

Strange how any one who has an opposing opinion is castigated. I read an article this week which indicated that a female tv presenter (slender/blond/yank) berated anyone who disagreed with "climate change" being due to human involvement while on air. I suppose that's one way of winning an argument b...

Re: Photo trip report: Penang and Langkawi, Malaysia

When I first visited LOS and Malaysia in the 70's both were on a par. Now Malaysia a good step ahead in all ways except for the post mahathir period where "masuk melayu" was the theme and anything western was to be viewed with suspicion. The last election on Penang saw a changing of the guard and th...

Re: Minivan and bus accidents

Passing on the left in a service.emergency stop lane, merging left without signalling, failing to stop at an accident, unsafe load and that's just for starters.

Re: Smuggling Rice to Thailand: Like Coals to Newcastle

Maybe they should try China. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black when it comes to the old sideways fling! China has canceled a deal to buy more than a million tons of rice from Thailand due to a probe into the beleaguered Thai government's subsidies for rice growers. Thai Commerce Minister N...

Re: Beware Russian ATM SCAM !!

There are also devices to detect those cards with RFID chips in them incl. exp dates . Sometimes a scrawled signature for those debit/credit cards will suffice for a 1 off scam.
