Yes, you should have no problems doing that, I often copy across multiple operating systems and computers with no worries - the older, slower ones you need to leave for a while and go and have a cuppa while the files are copying.

Its too easy to generalize on this thread, as Roel said, in an average Thai household where the father is working it doesn't happen as often as with some of the examples us farangs are more likely to see.

How old is the boy? Punishment by food is far worse than any physical punishment from a Thai perspective, eating is right up there with praying! Whats going on with the file sizes?

A DVD to AVI rip always used to be about 750-800Mb. Now they're all around the 1.4Gb which is pretty much double. I'm gonna need another hard disk at this rate!

Another observation is that the Veehd search function is utterly useless!
