Re: The iPhone thread

I use AIS One-2-Call pay as you go with EDGE/GPRS on the iPhone which works fine, its even pretty good when tethered with the laptop, you can get online anywhere that has a reasonably strong mobile phone signal. The only drawback (if you're not on an unlimited data package) is that the iPhone is des...

It will delete your 'posts since last visit' details, auto login settings, and the session ID info.

There is nothing harmful or dangerous in them so why delete them?

Yep, plenty of stores in HH now that should sell em.

As you mentioned though this will be slower than dial-up if there are more than two sharing it simultaneously!

Re: Boy killed, girl wounded in student violence

Death of 9-year-old puts focus on Thai gang wars LOPBURI, Thailand — Under the shade of tamarind trees, the teenage students display their battle wounds. One shows where a gunshot grazed his neck last month. Another bares two scars on his scalp and forearm from a recent knife attack. "It happe...

Re: Hua Hin Nightlife map update

Can do ... we need our night owls to give us an update on the bar names though as I'm a hermit these days!

So anyone out and about in the bintabloc area please let us know if any of those bars have changed or if there are any new ones!

Re: Kids Bikes

Got ours in the shop on Petchkasem that usual suspect suggested, plenty of choice in there. Got a nice solid little silver bike for 2,500 for our first's 5th birthday, he's off the stabilizers now and flying around all over the place.

If stirrups are the things you put your feet in then yes, my horse had them. As Takiap said the more experienced riders can go without them. No idea on prices or guides, you'll have to contact them. hhf, yes they'll show you the ropes or put you with an easy horse - I hadn't ridden since I was about...

Well I survived it, seven days living on rabbit food. A week with only Kitcheree, rice, fruit, dried All Bran, and a loaf of wholewheat bread from The Baguette. Liquids were fruit juice, water and infusion tea. Observations It got easier after the first two days, the Kitcheree helped a lot as I coul...

Horse trekking in Hua Hin

There is a small horse camp just west of Takiab that provides a better life for some of the ex-beach horses and offers treks into the hinterland. So in the name of research I saddled up and went to see what it was all about ... DSC_2138.jpg DSC_2147.jpg DSC_2154.jpg DSC_2163.jpg DSC_2167.jpg DSC_217...

Re: Shellfish Fest

Took the rugrats around there today, nice displays of stuff that belongs in the ocean - all info in Thai only though as usual.

The hotel seafood stands looked good but we couldn't get a seat so I went home for some scrumptious cabbage broth instead.

Business tycoon Bill Heinecke speaks out on Thailand

This is a critical time for Thailand, with the country recovering from the recent political events of April and May and preparing for elections next year. We have made it through a sad and painful period for Thailand, and today, I'd like to share my thoughts on what we can learn from the events of t...

Re: When is your next visit to Hua Hin

Would the Mods care to fix a couple of dates for HHAD gatherings somewhere central like JWs perhaps? That way we avoid trying to make a load of individual arrangements  We've done this before and in recent years they have fallen into the lead balloon category. Four to five years back things we...
