Re: Ssshh (Golden Teak) Cafe Bar at Hua Hin 102
We already have this so we know who the freeloaders are. The reason for the flyer is to try and encourage them to advertise here as they can see how many readers their topic would have got (in this case 590 at the time of my post). Sadly it seldom works. I did consider that, but they still get thei...

By the way, not being a know it all and all that, but i've worked on phpBB forums. If a moderator or whoever has the know how and appropriate position, create another section and just call it spam and make it only visible to mods. You can then move crap like this straight to the spam section and pla...

Re: Taking a car to Malaysia and neighbouring countries
My wife and I have done several road trips through Lao. It has been a delight. As you now know, getting the car "passport" is easy. It's just as easy to cross the border into Lao. Although it's no problem to get the English language license plates, you don't need them in Lao. If your wife...

Re: Is Starbucks in Hua Hin for normal Thais
I used to own a coffee bar, to be honest; I sold it because i never made any money, I paid tax and stuff, unlike Starbucks. Anyway, in the UK i will drink Costa coffee (apparently there not much better paying tax), but I prefer the independent coffee bars. In Hua Hin, I quite like Thai Visa Lounge,...

Re: How safe is Hua Hin after dark?
Never felt unsafe in Hua Hin and I've often staggered home at 3 or 4 in the morning. Did very nearly got bitten by a dog, but that was the middle of the afternoon. Stared it down and it got bored.

Re: Hua Hin bars closing at midnight
Personally, I like a late drink or two. The Hilton I heard is still open late. Had a really good night in there. I would be the one dancing to the previous track  Totally agree, Hilton is open after 2am and is really a great time, went there a couple of weeks ago, good music! Very jealous. I...
