Re: So where's the fire?

I've just picked my granddaughter up from the school where I could the fire engines parked outside. All that she could tell me was the fire was in a building directly behind the school.

Re: So where's the fire?

I know the one near the Railway Station, and the one just past the Palace (turn right at the lights as if going to 19 Rai). Both stations would have been closer than wherever richard saw them charging down Petchkasem from.

Re: So where's the fire?

Took a look down the road and the fire engines were stopped near one of the schools (closest one to Soi 51). No idea what's happened, but fire trucks ...

Re: What brought you to Hua Hin?

2 good friends of ours had sold up in the UK and moved here. They'd bought a bar complex (3 bars) and were keen to show us. That was about 15 years ago. We had been Pattaya regulars until then.

Hua Hin Markets

Over the next few weeks, I will be featuring various markets around Hua Hin. I will feature them in no particular order. Re: Is there a tourist slump in Thailand?

The thing I have noticed is either the high season 'Farang Idiot Drivers' (and there were quite a few) have either gone home, or have learnt how to drive the Thai way. Roads have returned to their usual chaos.

Re: Vietnam - Hanoi & Halong Bay

Part 3 - The Water Puppets and we set off for Halong Bay Water Puppet Theatre Our afternoon siesta lasted a little longer than planned. We returned for a later show than intended. There was quite a queue for tickets, which were 100,000 Dong each (about $10 total). The attraction was very popular. D...

Re: Caption Competition

I know this is a 2 week competition, but it's gone dead for the 2nd week. Just bumping it in case there are any last minute entries before tomorrow's close.
