Carabao playing in Hua Hin

Very short notice, but Carabao will be playing at the Soi 88 food court tonight.

They are coming on about 8 or 9 I think.

Nearly all tables full already.

"Bike gangs".
They were in a pick-up!

A prison sentence here just costs the State money, and would do nothing in the way of rehabilitation. Deportation and permanent blacklisting is much simpler and quicker. Incidentally perhaps Immigration should investigate on what basis they are in the Country. They are too young for Retirement Visa,...

When Have You Ever Got it 'Wrong' in Thailand?

It's actually a quite good site for information about Huahin and surrounding areas.
It seems to be free from the opinionated, miserable bigots that populate the "other" site; with a couple of exceptions!

Hua Hin and Thailand bomb attacks

Admirable sentiments but how do you negotiate with people that detonate bombs in front of schools, and ambush and kill teachers?

Personally, I prefer the 11th Commandment:
"Thou shalt not suffer a terrorist to live"!

Hua Hin and Thailand bomb attacks

Good idea in theory, but how will this "autonomous government" be chosen?

Hua Hin and Thailand bomb attacks

The Malay population revolted in 1791, 1808 and 1831 but each time it was supressed. The Treaty of 1909 recognised Siam's de facto claim ov...

The Bangkok Bank branch north of Huahin, on Phetkasem Road, is very farang-friendly.

How many of the electorate in Western "democracies" read the manifestos of the various political parties standing for election?

Thailand Constitutional Referendum

Spot on, StevePiraq.
Most European governments are afraid of "democracy", and certainly do not reflect the views of their population, yet have the temerity to criticize the Thai government.

Attack on foreigners gives Hua Hin tourism operators jitters

Have you never seen one person on a working motorcycle propelling a motor cycle with no fuel by extending their leg and placing their foot to push the disabled machine? Yes, of course I have. But that is only one part of their story that seems "strange". 3 Thai attacking 2 fairly big fala...
