I think some old folk enjoy being grumpy; my Father, god bless him, has been retired for ten years, is still healthy and has a good pension and a pleasant house and car, he’s always going on holiday including two cruises in the past few years, and he never stops moaning about everything!

The thing that baffles me about all those tailor’s shops in Hua Hin is that I don’t remember ever seeing a single customer in any of them; how do they stay in business?

Dawn, it’s done up in Issan, if you’re wealthy enough you have a well decorated elephant to ride on at your wedding. In fact I once jokingly told my partner I was going to buy an elephant that was up for sale, and she said good, we could use it for weddings!
