The wooden boxes appear to be temporary formwork ready to slide down over the rebar cages ready to receive concrete to form pile caps that will support the structure.

Are you sure all taps including garden taps are tightly turned off? These pumps are normally "on demand" type.

The vast majority of the Klong Road heading away from HH is now dual carriageway - the last remaining stretch before you reach the bypass is getting the final strip of tarmac as I type this - probably finished this week and will provide a reasonable amount of capacity on the north of HH - of course...

The epicenter of traffic hell is a couple of kilometers approaching the two sets of lights (north and south), and between them, on Petchkasem in the middle of HH. We usually know to avoid that part of town at the weekend, but the mrs was driving! The two sets of lights need synchronising if possible?

There is much traffic on Thai social media regarding these traffic lights at Soi 35. The complaint is the time the lights are on amber is too short. Many people have been caught.

Why? I thought yellow/amber was giving you a warning that red was imminent. If approaching a traffic light you should try to stop, but if only feet or inches from the stop line carry on, else risk being rear ended for stopping too suddenly. Or are you saying driving through amber will attract a fin...

Unless you want to risk a 500 baht fine, do not drive through a yellow/amber light, big brother is watching.
