All extensions after that are just 'extensions'.....It is the same visas used for extensions based on marriage/education/Thai child. Those ...

Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

Well guys, whether we need it or not, I contacted Matt at AA Insurance, and his team have found a policy for me that sounds very promising, and it won't break the bank. Basically, when I moved to Thailand, they told me I was not insurable. Things have certainly progressed since 2012. If I'd been of...

Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

Asked about foreigners who cannot buy health insurance because their health risks are considered too high, Nattawuth said relevant authorities might consider requiring them to have higher deposits in bank accounts so as to make sure that they have enough to live in Thailand. Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

According to another source the above mandatory insurance only apply to O-A visas.....from the Thai embassy in your home country and extensions of the same.
NOT extensions based on non-o visas......at least not yet.
So BB I would hold my horses..

If you plan to convert to F-stocks...remember to allow a couple of days for the change to made from local to F. Personally I ...

Re: Which immigration office

The old office (19 rai) is closed...
Hua Hin Imm is not very serious about the 24 hour reporting....So if you 'forget' it, no harm will happen to you.
So save yourself and the immigration officers the waste of time....

Re: Bank verification of overseas income

If it is not your first extension there is no requirement to prove the origin of the 800k....new rules or not. The new rules require that your 800k is seasoned TWO months before your filing date and has to stay in your account THREE months after your extension date, which can be almost 4 months afte...
