Re: Electric Cars

We had considered an electric car, but didn’t like the small models in offer, mainly due to the short range. We have the room to charge a car at home but in the end went for cars that we were familiar with. Maybe when the time comes to change them, range will have been increased to somewhere around...

Re: Electric Cars

I haven't driven 400 miles in one day for at least five years! STEVE G we drive from the Far South coast to the Lake District around 4 times a year. The journey is around 350 miles or so and we stay at a family farm that is literally out in the middle of nowhere. We would normally go out in the eve...

Re: Bodies of murdered Phrae couple found,

My mistake europtimiste I was under the impression they were sentenced to death for their crime. I’ve lost track of the case over the years, but they should have received the death penalty IMHO, for what was obviously a premeditated murder for money.

Re: Bodies of murdered Phrae couple found,

Thanks BB I was under the impression she was released earlier. I spoke to Toby on the night it went t*ts up and he’d kicked her out for huge gambling depts, he was in a bad way, but seemed determined to move on. Sickening the way they killed him for his money. I heard about his murder in the newspap...

Re: Electric Cars

We have bought two new cars this year to replace two that were coming up to three years old. One was another petrol 7 seater for the wife, who runs our son and his friends around and also for longer (700miles + journeys) and the second was a diesel hatchback, which is my pub car, for the occasional ...

Re: Bodies of murdered Phrae couple found,

500+ on death row in Thailand and the last execution was 18 June 2018, but I’m not sure what their crime was.

Who remembers Toby? Murdered by his family for money and I believe his wife, who was sentenced to death for murder, along with two of her family, was out of prison after a few years!

Re: Bodies of murdered Phrae couple found,

Despite being sentenced to death, I doubt it will happen.
They’ll spend a few years in prison until all is forgotten, then quietly be pardoned or something similar.

How many times are foreigners murdered and the perps executed in Thailand.

I like the way they just get him upright and send him on his way.

Anyone with any sense, will get the beer/wine/whisky in and just sit on their porch, with the car or motorcycle locked in the garage for these days of Songkran.

Re: Airbus to end production of costly A380 superjumbo

Flown on them several times to BKK, great planes and great service from the crew. The wife flew out on one with Thai Airways just over a week ago and got the same good service we’ve always had. Pity, as I like being on the top deck, made the experience just that bit different. Been on the B777 as we...
