Yes it only works via wifi or hard wire. No reason why it won,t work on Thai IP address. We often use it to talk from UK to relatives in Hua Hin. And yes Skype is more flexible.

Just been to Palm Bistro up Soi 88. What a place. Smartly layed out and beautiful food. Mix of Thai and British. And not over the top price wise. Last night I enjoyed a meal at Coco 51 today at Palm Bistro I enjoyed a better meal at a lower price

The real beauty of on line check in is you don't have to arrive at the airport so early. Mind that has it's draw back, once we got caught up in traffic and only caught the plane because of a flight delay. Overall though well worth doing if available.
