Re: Removing excess water from salt water pool
I only run filters from 0600-0900 and 1500-1800 which has proven enough. Great majority of rain has been coming outside of those hours. It's an overflow pool. Pete  Thanks Pete. That is what I thought. With overflow the filtration continues. With a fixed level pool where you have 6-10 inche...

Re: Removing excess water from salt water pool
The only reason I can think of is that the salt water pool you have, does not use overflow filtering but uses a skimmer filter. If you have an "infinite pool" then it is the overflow type. With this I would assume that you can just let the water flow over. But with a "skimmer system&q...

Re: Yellow book, blue book
Blue Books can be used to verify address as it has your name on it. Yellow Book requires a letter from Immigration (500 Baht) to prove address. This is my understanding. Foreigners can get a Blue Book but it is a separate and lengthy procedure.

Re: Jazz in Hua Hin
We went past the Saxophone Bar last night at about 8:30 and it was empty... what time does it start to get going? Or is there a particular night of the week that is best to go? Thanks Saxophone Lounge is closed on Sunday and Monday. Music generally starts after 9pm and up to midnight, sometimes lat...

Need new Spinner Wheel for Samsonite Luggage

Re: Vehicle title transfer
Immigration only needs the address. (No proof of address only what you give them.) They do not check your address. Bring Passport and 500 Baht and they will give the letter.

Re: Visa in Savannakhet, Laos
I arrived on April 1, 2015 on a "Permission to stay 30 days stamp." I went to the US Embassy in BKK on April 22, 2015 and obtained a Notarized Letter for proof of monthly income. Cost US.$50. I went to Hua Hin Immigration on April 23, 2015. Applied and paid for Non-O Visa. This will take 1...

Re: Visa in Savannakhet, Laos
Thanks Lomu, I went to Immigration twice, once to collect the forms and once after they were completed. Both times they said 1900 Baht, no problem. I will definitely post again when task complete or dead end reached. I go to US Embassy on Wednesday morning so I should have an answer on Thursday. I h...

Re: Visa in Savannakhet, Laos
You may want to check out the website first or await a very recent experience with success there. I applied for an "O" Visa in India and was told they are no longer available. I could apply for the full retirement Visa there but the process would take longer than I had left before leaving ...
