Re: Cheese in Hua Hin

The difference between a mild cheese and a mature one. Fresh cheese contains lots of water so it's soft and delicate. As it matures into cheddar, the water evaporates and the cheese becomes firmer. ... Mature cheddar is crumbly because it's drier, but also because it doesn't have as much casein rei...

Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

I have been seeing this subject for some time and was under the impression that this heath insurance was only for persons with OA visa. It was not for those extending for retirement .The reason for me was that retirement requires one to prove financial ability by way of a flat sum of 800,000 bht or ...

Re: 24 men arrested for violent disruption of entrance exam

The last 8 months have seemed like 2 yrs. Last Thursday, alone, felt like a month. I apologize for my mistake and shall try, in the future, not to incur the wrath of citizens wronged. As we get to and past retirement the days months seem to fly by - perhaps less hand movement might solve the proble...

Re: House Cost to Build

I had quite a high spec completed for 17K excluding the outside walls and kitchen and no pool This was my third house and prices have risen from 12K to 14K. As a matter of interest a European company quoted double the final cost. The final result was excellent

Re: Hua hin korea golf club/milford

Hi all. We played there January 17th. The course was mostly green and nice with greens similar (or better) to the Royal Hua Hin. Recommend playing it, fun and challenging, incredibly cheap greenfee. Mostly Koreans were there. Clubhouses, bunkers and caddies are not of the best standard. FACEBOOK: H...

nil or sid or whatever - other posts also dam this country - so why not go elsewhere after your short stay here, where you might be happy.

Re: Emerald Scenery

Soi112 is a area constantly being developed. For me I do not want to live in a development which is still building out, or where there is sizeable development land very close. Ok if just a rai or so. I say this because you highlight the area is quiet. Do your homework on this I suggest. good luck

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Express Clinic has moved

I would like to visit HH Hospital and see an orthopedic surgeon.
Can you let me have the telephone number , or do I just turn up at the Express Clinic. Can you guide me as to its whereabouts. I guess making an appointment is not possible? Thanks all

Thanks
Why is it locked if you bought it new?

Re: New Book Shop - Blue & Yellow

Why not buy a kindle and download for free, or via Amazon deals for a fraction of cost on thousands of books - I did years ago and it was one of the best things I have ever done, Because some people like books! I have a kindle, but still choose to buy some books, generally larger scale or art and o...

What you say Steve is absolutely correct. I see BMW and JLR have joined forces to share costs for the RD required to bring electric cars to the sale rooms - this will not be the first cost sharing merger with the big boys either.

Re: New Book Shop - Blue & Yellow

This place has changed hands yet again. Very amiable Italian gentleman and what I assume is his Thai wife. He has sorted out a lot of the books and will continue to do so. Tried to sell him to advertise here, but it seems Farcebook is the leading contender just now. It was closed the last time that...
