That "bling" gets me! They are like little children at a fancy dress party!
It never was posted exactly what "Big Joke" did a couple of years ago when he scuttled off to some Temple overseas.

Re: Domestic Air Purifiers
I know nothing about these things, but I presume you have to have all the doors and windows in your house closed for them to function? Do you guys run them all the time or just at night, are they an extra strain on the electric bill (like a/c)? How much are the filters and how often do they need ch...

Please tell more about the boat ride - I'm not aware of that one. Sorry Big Boy, I guess I shouldn't have included, it was my boat. But I do see a rental boat advertising on facebook. BTW you're welcome to a ride on mine! Just be aware of the no entry zone in front of the palace. Not very well defi...

Re: Thailand News Summary
We all know what the police are like, so it is difficult to understand just what is going on there. About all that we can be sure of is that the police will stick to their own story, no matter what the truth may be! If the police just deport the Kiwis without a jail sentence, then you can pretty muc...

Re: Thailand News Summary
Theres mention of a video of the incident, which according to a poster on the BP, paints a different picture. With the gun seemingly going off in the policemans hands all alone, and then the claim, they basically disarmed him, removed the ammunition from the gun and then waited for the police to ar...

Re: Buying meat
Until fairly recently I’ve never noticed it being a problem, but lately buying raw meat (normally chicken or pork) from Makro, I’ve noticed that unless you cook it within one day of purchase, there’s normally a very off-putting smell when you take the meat out of the bag. Has anybody else noticed t...

Stupid acts like this isn't going to help the vendetta on Farangs down South. 2 more for deportation methinks. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2760128/2-new-zealanders-attack-phuket-traffic-policeman They will need to consider themselves very lucky if they are deported without a length...

Re: Plumber needed
You need the following: https://www.kennards.com.au/for-hire/test-measure/environmental-ohs/leak-detector-ultrasonic There are a couple of leads on that other BS website, one of them from Hua Hin, but no phone contact. It cost him 9,000 baht to have a bloke come from Bangkok, break up the floor and ...

Re: Frigate damaged by ammunition from another naval ship
Unbelievable, bunch of eejits! I am surprised that they even admit that they knew there was a live "round" jammed in the gun.
As they have proven cable of sinking their own ships, I suppose it is to be expected!

Re: Frigate damaged by ammunition from another naval ship
That gun on Frigates is used by many navies around the world: OTO Melara 76 mm I suspect that it was a training round without any projectile. Just smoke and noise! At point blank range any projectile, even non-explosive, would have caused serious damage to the ship in front of it! RSS_Valour_76mm_OT...

Re: Campers, Camping and/or a Van?
I put this here as general interest. Camping is big business in Australia, from simple one man tents, up to multiple berth trailers and caravans. Hundreds of places for overnight use, some of them provided free by local town councils to encourage tourist dollars. https://www.caravancampingsales.com....

Little children playing with guns! Can't wait to watch them playing with a submarine!
Not had anything to do with naval guns, but army practice was to always make sure guns were cleared where they could do no harm.

Re: Campers, Camping and/or a Van?
They certainly don’t make it easy, but having said that, I would assume that something like an imported VW Camper Van that was properly registered when it arrived would be fine as it’s well under the 3.5t limit, but then again, due to its rarity it will presumably command a hefty price!! Many years...
