Re: Aggressive dogs on cycling path
Avoid the bike shop on the East side of Petchkasem. Their high-end bikes are ok, but anything less is junk. There was a bike shop in the basement in MV, I don't know if they're still there. As for riding on the city streets, always be aware of vehicles pulling out into traffic from being parked. Th...

Re: Legitimate massage
“Thai Sabi” massage has pics of their credentials on Google Maps so will try there. I think massage is like many things where some people are artists while most are doing arts and crafts. Sounds fun to try different shops and different practitioners. You also might try Amazon for massage tables. Th...

Re: Legitimate massage
Any local shops that do Trager (I experienced it in Chiang Mai)? Also wondering, since many Europeans are here, if any are trained in disciplines from there. Or, even less likely, in Ida Rolf (Rolfing) or Marian Rosen (Rosen Therapy)? Rosen is from Germany and combines feeling on the diaphragm with...

I should have said experience rather than training.caller wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 11:00 amDid you mean their first assignments, as the hospital isn't a training hospital.handdrummer wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 9:37 am BKH is where young drs. go to train and old drs. spend their last days. Re: MRI Scan in Hua Hin
You can call and ask them. I'd also call Sao Paulo and Hua Hin Hospital. The prices for everything at BK Hospital have increased in the past year, and the drs. are of poor quality. The nursing staff is excellent. BKH is where young drs. go to train and old drs. spend their last days. No comparison t...

Re: Legitimate massage
What techniques are used for deep tissue and for sports massage? I’ve only read they are slow and deep. I prefer they dont grind over a tight muscle and instead hold pressure on the muscle until the client is able to release that tightness. In deep tissue massage held pressure, deep stroking, and s...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Do you live in Thailand or the UK? The UK and the US are where the problems are and it's the usual cart before the horse. Live in TH, PKK, municipality. Saw the news-blips of hours long Qs in the UK over NY holiday. Even one of the local EV owner's here posted there were some CSs occupied when he w...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Although most of the “old-timers” will have children/grandchildren that they will have some concern about. I’ve gone halfway with a PHEV but would consider a full EV once(if) the prices become more reasonable and the technology/infrastructure match. Whether I’ll live long enough for those to combin...

How did they arrive at the 300 baht figure, roll the dice, or pick a card? Are there serviettes available to wipe their mealy mouths when they begin to add up the imaginary tourist money and begin to salivate?

^ Cheers blue - I'll definately be taking a good look before handing out a wedge of money (which I shouldn't be spending), but was just interested to get the basics and a bit more knowledge from those who have had experience. Are you restricted to just the movies that are provided through the suppl...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
Governments need to stop the banning and let the marketplace decide. If more people want EVs, they'll buy them, if not, they won't.
Until there's enough infrastructure and a secure electricity supply, it's pointless to mandate EV ownership.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
There's an article on the Yahoo news site about a Tesla, that for no reason, stopped working while being driven and caused an 8-car accident.
