Re: The Rugby Thread
Underperforming is being too kind to Wales, they were absolutely atrocious for well over an hour and those 2 late tries made the game look closer than it was. The match is only as close as the final score, irrespective of performance over 80 minutes. My point was that Wales have a lot of form for t...

Re: The Rugby Thread
Certanly not the first time an underperforming Welsh team finished very strongly. Another 10 minutes, who knows? Great result for Italy and the Six Nations tournament though.

Re: Plumber needed
A man the water company recommended arrived with some kind of electronic device that can listen/detect leaks under concrete, and with a jack-hammer. Sounds a man whose number is worth keeping. I understand why he's very busy. Could you share his details? If not would you just PM them to me please?

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
The Gentlemen is great fun series on Netflix if you're a fan of Guy Richie's stye of British gangster film. Obviously it's not rated for children but it's not horror-level violence.

Re: The Recommended Movies Thread
Dune Part 2 - there's a pretty good 1080p. TS (telecine) out now, release group EMIN3M. Video is fairly good quality, not completely sure if the colours are muted compared to the cinema release, I guess so as is usual, it's either that or garish overcompensated colour. The sound is quite clear but ...

Re: Govt to cut alcohol taxes and tariffs
In other words, its unlikely to make a difference to wine prices for most of us as suspected. Has anyone actually seen prices drop yet? Of course, as expected. I'll still be buying very little wine then as I can't drink the cheap fruit juice horror. I wonder how changes will reflect in imported spi...

Re: Mustard
cowhead mustard.jpeg In the end I couldn't resist buying this, as I really wanted the large and ironic tin! I don't have Colman's to compare it with but it's fine ground, not highly yellow-coloured, mixes to a paste very well (maybe very slightly textured but makes no difference when using as you d...

Re: The Beer Thread 2
Definitely not tried it but using Google I found that they have a wide range of beers - not sure it’s 300 but coincidentally, one of my favourite beers Fullers London Pride was listed at 300 Baht for 500ml Insane price. Have to be desperate for a taste or much richer than me. For imported beer I'll...

Yes, I think I remember he chose not to believe due to absence of supporting proof, but didn't go so far as to say that others should not just follow faith if that's what they wanted. He liked to open it up to discussion though!

RIP Carl Sagan, astronomer, writer and firm supporter of SETI (9 November 1934 – 20 December 1996). Here's a chuckle for his molecules, wherever they may be. The words are his, from his book Pale Blue Dot.

Re: Thai Cheese
I have just discovered a new shop/café on the side road from Soi 94 (the same side as Ga Hanoi but about 150 meters further down). It sells a variety of cheeses made in Thailand (Brie, Camembert, Goat's cheese, etc. along with Salami and various different kinds of bread. I tasted several cheeses an...

Re: The Boxing Thread
I usually watch the 'big' boxing events particularly the heavyweights and also UFC. Used buffstreams.sx for a couple years and haven't encountered many issues. A few crashes here and there like the footy but just a quick reload of the page does the trick. Used vipstand for a good 5-10 years before ...

Re: The Rugby Thread
And then the news George North is calling it a day on his international career after this match.... After 110+ Caps for Wales and the Lions, fair play to him  I just pray this 6 Nations and his last match will not be a blot on his career!! I saw that this morning in the news. I'd hate for such...
