Re: Kasikorn K PLUS mobile banking app
My Kasikorn ATM card was due to expire next month and I got a new one at the main branch on Petchkasem the other day. The assistant used my app to cancel the old one and then after a trees worth of paperwork I got a new one. I generally find the app okay but anything technical the first stop is the ...

Re: Hua Hin Road Closures
I got caught out by the 94 closure this morning. It might have helped if they actually closed the road off at the entrance to the blocked section rather than have to do a U turn. Nice but not much chance of it happening here.

Re: A lot Ambulances in Hua Hin?
Good point Big Boy and pretty much my feelings too. I like the way that a lot of places in the UK will allow emergency services personnel to jump the queue when buying fast food etc knowing that it gives them more of a chance to have some food before being called out again. Unfortunately although th...

Re: A lot Ambulances in Hua Hin?
Just a thought. Is there more than one ambulance service operating here and is more than one ambulance being sent to a single incident. Also, is there a possibility they may have lights and sirens on to help speed them through traffic although attending an emergency. Not that such a thing would happ...

Re: International courier
Perhaps I was a bit premature. The EMS package arrived in Southampton just over ten days after sending it. What had me worried was the six days it disappeared between leaving Thailand and arriving in the UK.
Looks like it will be okay for sending the next one after all.

Re: Buying online from Lazada
As a regular user of Lazada I have noticed that deliveries in general are taking a little longer. Not substantially but perhaps one or two days longer. On another note, I am now getting e-invoices for the shipping payment that I never got before. At first I suspected spam but the address is a no-rep...

Re: International courier
Being fair to EMS I can report that my package which left the Bangkok international sorting centre on 21st is now showing as being in Coventry so progress is being made and it only has to now find its way to Southampton so all is not lost. The link that Big Boy put in appears to be an individual goi...

Re: International courier
I agree about only using them if there is no alternative but that seems to be the situation. Last time I used them the item went to Phuket and came up from there. Took a while but I was able to track it all the way rather than lose it into the void hoping it would surface eventually.

Re: International courier
Thanks for those two locations. The wallet quivers with fear at the mention of DHL but needs must and for the docs I need to send time and security are paramount.

Re: International courier
I know that there used to be a DHL counter in Bluport (long gone) but searching the web has failed to identify any service point for fedex, UPS, DHL or any recognised international courier company. There must be some way of sending/receiving using these reputable companies. Can anyone advise?

Re: International courier
I sent a document to the uk using EMS through the post office and it was tracked to the airport and “departed export office” on 21st but nothing since. Beginning to worry as it is important.

Re: Flights to/from Thailand status, news, and updates
In response to Joelle, no, I did not have to show a return or onward ticket. The officer could see all of my previous visa and extension stamps and did not even mention it although I did get it in first that I am going to get a new visa here. Nereus, I went to Perth six months ago on the same Bangko...

Re: Thailand tourism situation
Arrived back lunchtime today and no changes yet. Immigration was quick because I could use fast tack and no issues despite my non O expiring while abroad, just said I was getting another one in Hua Hin again. Backs were not too slow arriving either. Just over an hour from landing to leaving the airp...

Re: Thailand tourism situation
Am flying tonight from Perth via Singapore. Have checked in at a regional airport and bags are routed all the way. Will post once in Thailand of how it goes. Have posted in this thread as it directly relates to the previous post but suspect both will be moved to the other thread on flying into Thail...

Re: Thailand tourism situation
I wonder how many people are going to get caught out by the change back to the requirement to have been vaccinated before entering Thailand: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2476069/proof-of-covid-jabs-for-all-visitors-revived While many are vaccinated there are still quite a few who are...
