Buying a copy of the Bangkok Post in Hua Hin
For the past 2 weeks I have been unable to get the paper from any of the 7 - elevens round Samorpong. The staff tell me " 7 no sell anymore". Is it just the cluster round here or company wide? Any info? Thanks in advance.

Re: Online Cooker
We have used them 5 or 6 times. To be honest cant really fault them, the prices are keen and are reliable. As well as beijgbtold when to expect the goods, they also re ring about 30 mins before they arrivebwhichnis helpful. I guess its so you can nip to the atm if you need

Re: Tourists on motorbikes..Oh dear!
BB is on the money. Thais may ride in a way that would baffle any thinking person but its surprising how you develop an instinct for what they will do next. Tourists with pink/red skin always scare me however. After about 2 days there seems to be an attitude of "2 days, no accidents, Im a natur...

Re: Spike in tourist deaths sparks ministry concern
What is the point of publishing figures that are so demonstratively wrong? A quick look back through the Bkk post will show the number of people who went to the trouble of booking a ticket, endured a long flight, was ripped off buy a taxi driver, just so they could commit "suicide" was muc...

Re: Water Supply Cut off Tomorow 02/02/16 in Hua Hin
I live in Samorpong and they are putting in a new pump station to help here and bohfai (allegedy). Will be up and running in March (allegedy).in the meantime I cant actually remember the last time we received water and with the power cuts along with the rapidly deteorating local roads I am really re...

new villa market
Just been down to the villa market at index which opened today. Some great opening day offers. Im not a supermarket geek but was really impressed with the store. The layout is logical and easy to find things. Certainly for those of us on the northern side of town its good to have it back.
Re: U-Turns
Slightly off topic but for me the scariest part of the new klung rd layout is the push bike lanes. If your coming south right next to the inside lane are 2 cycle lanes and the one that touches the inside lane is for people cycling the wrong way. The relatively wide 2 lanes are going to prove irrisis...

Re: Bringing a dog from Thailand
We are moving to Spain next year and have settled on Quatar air. In general 2 small dogs ( Chihuahuas) in one travel box or 1 larger dog seems to cost about the same as 1 human ticket, give or take. Its fairly easy to DIY through the individual airline websites. The vet hospital near big c will give...

Re: Do Thai people have and/or feel a sense of embarrassment?
I must admit the whole face thing took me and my wife by surpise. My wife is Malaysian Chinese and while 'face' is part of her psyche, the Chinese seem to be able to mix it with pragmatism often taking theattitude ' ok I will lose face this once, learn from it and make sure it never happens again&qu...

I also live nearby. Enough malls in HH aready struggle and the population up there would not support. As stated earlier Tesco Pranbury is easy to get to and big C only takes 10 mins via the animal temple

Re: AP: Global supermarkets selling Thai shrimp peeled by slaves
So often Thailand promises to improve things to the rest of the world and little or nothing happens be it aviation or shrimps. I cant help thinking a ban on importing shrimps until a definate improvement happens might just prove to be the jolt the country needs and make it realise it is not "Te...

Re: Can You Recommend A Thai Credit Card?
The above is correct. The "credit card" you will be offered will only give you the ability to spend what you have in your account already. As far as Nationwide is concerned, we have just been through the same thing with them. The options they offer either they will send the card to a branc...
