Re: The ever-improving state of Hua Hin's roads

What amazes me is they resurface a very nice road, then 6 months later start digging it up again, putting in drains or whatever, then end up with pot holes and bumps the same as before..This is not unique here it happens everywhere :)

Re: Hua Hin's most dangerous pedestrian crossing

All the pedestrian crossings are dangerous here, both to the pedestrians crossing and to the drivers, they need to put proper lights on them so when a pedestrian wants to cross they press a button and green light comes on with a figure walking and red lights stops traffic or better still bring back ...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

What’s with the lower transaction fees? Originally crypto currency was supposed to be peer to peer so no middle man banker or broker takes a clip each side of the trade as in the the case of fx retail trading, if that is the case what’s the difference btwn any fx currency trade? :D

Unless traded on the new bit coin futures market’s which are traded in dollars, and treated like any commodities trades. Whichever way your trade goes you get your paid out in dollars. Not really... I bought most my coins in GBP and have been paid out in both GBP and THB; not seen a single dollar a...

Re: British tourists in nasty brawl minutes after seeing in the New Year at Hua Hin

:agree: We still can't be sure of the Nationality. Any source that calls that a mass brawl has to be suspect. :agree: The 2 guys in the video look like they're doing a mating dance to start with, then in the stills, there is a guy dressed in all white, that looks like he's about to burst into a chor...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

Every kind of investment is a speculation or gamble, one thing about this bit coin and other crypto’s is it's not backed by any government, and it seems not easily exchanged according to earlier posts! Unless traded on the new bit coin futures market’s which are traded in dollars, and treated like a...

Re: What's Happened To The Water in Hua Hin?

Why use a Facebook page or local announcements? Over the many years living here it’s just par for the course, having water going off now and again, I find the best work around is having water tank lined up to mains all the time [with a functioning float valve shutoff] but outlet of tank shut off to ...

Re: Snakes in the house and garden

I've witnessed one of our dogs kill a snake twice. I find it amazing how fragile a snake is. A quick shake and it's all over - very fast. We get more than our share of visitors. I live in the centre of town, but we have 20 Rai of waste ground (jungle) in front of us and 4 empty building plots behin...

Re: Snakes in the house and garden

BB..Your not wrong there, poisonous or not it really went after our dog but he got it and shook it in a split second game over. I was exactly the same when we first moved into the house especially with the jungle over wall, and was always wary, but have now learned to live with the local flora and f...

Re: What Do You Feed Your Dog

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

The big boys will be starting their old pump and dump trading again like they did with the pound sterling, and some Asian currencies in the 90's, or maybe that's what's going on with bitcoin now.
