Re: Changes in the Taste Buds and Sense of Smell

Although there could be some “science” behind the claim, I doubt very much that it’s linear - some will be affected earlier and some later in life, similar to many other aspects of “getting old” - some age better than others!!

Coincidentally, my wife was approached by somebody from Hua Hin Tessebahn a few weeks ago looking at ways they could improve Khao Tao. They need to look in their own back yard first.
BB, did your wife relay your sentiments to the Tessebahn people?

Especially some of the less “reputable” airlines - choose your next flight carefully!!

Re: Premier League 2020-21

I watched the highlights on BBC and whilst Liverpool didn’t really deserve anything, I thought the penalty to Everton was more than generous, and then in the WBA game, what looked like a stone-wall certainty was not given. I really do find it strange how VAR has made the game so frustrating for all ...

Re: Is tap water safe to use boiling water in a kettle for coffee

I have all the years in Thailand used water I buy in this 5-6 water containers from either Tesco or any other reasonable store when I boil coffee water but have started to wonder if its not a waist of money because after all its boiled. When that said I drink a  lot of coffee both the instant...

Yes, another brief but heavy shower, followed about an hour later with a more moderate shower, but both very welcome at this time of the year.

Tourism veering from bad to worse Airlines and hotels dubbed the tourism situation this year as being a worse crisis than the first outbreak of the pandemic, leaving them to cling to the hope of a remedy from the government. Tassapon Bijleveld, executive chairman of Asia Aviation, the largest share...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

If this is a generic change that all banks will follow, it will cause big problems. I can’t be the only one who leaves there visa renewal to close to the expiry date and go to the bank a few days before for the letter and bank statements - if it takes a week, I could have easily been caught out and ...

Although £75k a week is a huge amount, the top footballers get 3-4 times this amount - now that is really obscene

Re: Premier League 2020-21

Any news about where Lampard may land, or can we consider him retired at least for this season or longer? No news that I’m aware of, but I would have thought that they’re a few chairman willing to give him a second try. Of course there have to be openings, so wait for a few heads to roll and then m...

Re: My owner wants me out! Security of tenure

With so much available accommodation I’d be very surprised if you can’t find something similar at the rent you want to pay and I’d certainly be looking for such, especially if the lawyers end up not offering too much help - the last thing you want to do is end up in expensive litigation when the “p...
