UK tv and DVD Player
I am ok with the DVD player ( I think ) because I bought some dvd's in Thailand earlier this year and they play OK in UK Just a little bit worried about the TV though it is a Phillips S md1.2E AA and model 28PW6332/05 , in case any of your smart guys know this. You mention that a Non Imm visa is needed to import, but I thought the system was to use this visa to obtain a Retirement Visa and only when that visa was approved you could import ( within 6 months).

I have heard that if you wish to import your personal and household effects, and not be subject to any import duty, the goods must arrive within 2 months of being granted the initial Retirement Visa.
