The locals here in Luxembourg are amazed that they actually managed to win a match, (Belorus 1-0) as they only have a couple of professional players here and apparently it's the best result they've had in twelve years. It was quite amusing being out last night with all the English banking community ...

Hobie, you are not out of line to make this suggestion here but there is another consideration to be made. Many of the regular posters on HHAD use it as a source of entertainment as well as information; this is why you will see so many items of trivia, sport and general nonsense springing up alongsi...

I’ve a strong suspicion that Kraka’s Dads original post linked ex-pat life in Hua Hin, Celtics progress in the European Championship, trolls and the survival mechanism of pond-dwellers in a deeply satirical way that I haven’t quite worked out yet.

Chas, bamboo is strangely hard to find around Hua Hin. I know this because my neighbour asked me the exact question last year when he wanted to build a garden shelter. I told him I would try to find him some as I drove around the area, but I couldn’t see any for sale anywhere. I can only surmise t...

I have one that includes Heart of Darkness and a collection of short stories that I'll try to remember to bring out next time; Lord Jim is the finest though, in my opinion.

And what the hell is a Scotsman doing on a thread about sunloungers; you people are all blue; there isn't a sunlounger in the whole of Scotland; if you had'nt discovered Malaga you would think this thread was in Swahili!

I like rule 8 on that hotel sign-The Hotel has the right to limit a certain kinds of people- mentally sick, an outlaw guy or a drunk not to stay in a hotel.

Guess, I’d forgotten about this until I read your post, but when I was down there last month the billboard that used to advertise the development had been replaced by another one just stating “land for saleâ€

Brandon, I used to do a lot of Kayaking years ago at school and wouldn’t mind having another go at it. The only one’s I’ve seen around Hue Hin are the sit-on type and these seem a bit over priced for Thailand at 35,000 bt and upwards. A few weeks ago I was driving between Bangkok and Petchabur...

I struggled with this re-sizing issue for the first competition but have since found out that the camera is savvier than me, and can do it for you with two presses of a button. If anyone else is having problems with this, have a look at the camera menu, I had know idea that this function existed.
