Re: Premier League 2023-24

Full credit to Dominic Calvert-Lewin for chasing down the Burnley goalkeeper, but Vincent Kompany must be seething for giving away such an unnecessary goal that cost them dearly and in the process put another nail in their relegation coffin and boosting Everton’s survival hopes!! I watched the whol...

The roof is the best part of it. The rest is a design and construction generally consigned to history.

Re: Football (not Premier League)

Just as an aside to the above, does anyone here follow 'StuntPegg', who is a professional northerner of the female variety (actually, she's Italian), who makes great videos, posted on youtube about football. Generally to do with the North, and generally to do with the lower levels of football. But n...

Re: Premier League 2023-24

It was a close run thing, but you just about got away with it... So did Pochettino, played his get out of jail card well...... I can get the psychology of fielding the same XI that were so awful against Burnley, a few days of pep talks, plus open criticism of their performance from the media and fa...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Well, if anyone here is about to upgrade to the latest Tesla, you're in luck, Bluport is installing at least 4 Tesla only chargers on the 1st floor. Near to the Mall entrance. Not actually up and running yet.

Other chargers remain on the ground floor.

Not a chance! Southgate doesn't use him in the same way. He's not even a guarenteed starter.

Re: Phone Stalls, Top Floor Market Village

For a 2 metre phone charging cable, for my bedside, I now only buy branded names at appropriate locations, or directly from places like Power Mall. I seemed to be forever going through cheap cables, that it became a false economy.

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand

A good article from Al Jazeera, basically spells out what has gone wrong for Thailand, as discussed by Thai academics. Pity they don't get aired here. Nothing unknown, just reassuring to hear Thais talk about it. https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2024/4/1/thailands-economy-stumbles-as-philippines-vi...

Re: Indian restaurants in Hua Hin

Anyone tried the Indian Hut opposite the Hilton yet? I say yet I assume it opened recently?? It's been open a while now and titles itself as being, 'the best authentic indian food in Hua Hin'. But it's location means it's probably easier for tourists to visit than expats. They got told off elsewher...
