By bus it takes around 9 hours, you can do it in 6 if you drive. Unfortunately the airport is no longer running domestic flights so that option is out.

Could you have been dialling Phetburi province by mistake? (12 baht per min ... ouch), 9000 baht is a hundred local calls...

New Bars - Breezin and P&P

Just checked out both of these new venues in town: Breezin. This place is on the Soi where Safety Stop used to be (first bar as you come from the temple end). Interior decor is very impressive, looks like a swanky London wine bar. Extensive list of drinks and cocktails available, plenty of girls (al...

I think the guys are talking about a restaurant where you can catch your own goong (correct me if i'm wrong  )

The big MPs had to close, the powers above didnt like them in Hua Hin so you may be out of luck if you're a serious 'sanuker' .... have you thought about Pattaya ?

By SD memory card I'm assuming you mean a Memory Stick for a digital camera. If so then yes there are a number of places in town that will transfer your pics onto a CD.

There are two ways you can go about this: 1) Get a train to Bang Pong (leaves daily at 11.45 - about 3 hours) for about 50 baht, then walk to the memorial roundabout (2 mins from station) and get on a bus to Kanchanaburi (about an hour away). Book into a guesthouse/hotel and explore the sites (the b...

Sunday BBQ

Don and Melissa up at Dolphin Bar (ex-Freds bar) are putting on a free BBQ on sundays at 7pm. Great ribs and potato salad! Also good deals on the beer.

The House of Decor

Discovered this funky little place just along from Chao Ley Seafood on Naresdamri road (towards the fishing pier on the left). Its a kind of art-decor, new age place where you can sit inside, have a beer and take in the ambience. Nice little hideaway to relax for a bit.
