Re: Hu Hin Post Office
For what it's worth I am still awaiting a parcel posted from UK on 7th February, we are into the 11th week now since posting, it will be 12 weeks on Friday. It's not heavy and it's not big.........about the size of a large shoe box. I still live in hope :-)

Re: Converting GBP to THB without high bank charges
As mentioned earlier I bank with First Direct which is an 'Online Bank' but also part of HSBC. I will be going to UK in a couple of months to see the kids, so an ideal opportunity to open a new account. I will keep the FD account and just transfer all incoming payments over. I am assuming that HSBC ...

Re: Converting GBP to THB without high bank charges
Thanks so far to dm, caller and HHTel. A change of bank is an option but will need to wait until I'm next in UK as I have to inform 2 private pension providers in writing and HM Pensions Dept of the change. Also I have an offshore investment which is a nightmare to change the slightest piece of info...

Converting GBP to THB without high bank charges
After recommending an online exchange company (CurrencyFair) on another thread, I have just had an email telling me that the service has been withdrawn due to their exchange partner ceasing business in the currency marketplace. This is mainly aimed at UK expats but of course other suggestions are we...

Re: La Rumba location for rent?
All references to contact for information have been removed this morning. I'm guessing that a new venture is about to appear.

Tefal Actifry
Anyone out there know anywhere in Hua Hin that sells/stocks them before I start searching all the possible outlets. I know they were available a few months ago in Home-Pro, I should have bought one then but stupid me didn't. Checked them out yesterday but no joy.

Re: Amazon UK
Thanks Pagey for the info, unfortunately no plans to get to Pattaya in the near future. If you can PM the details I will contact him and see what can be done. In the meantime this is the unit I am looking at on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vidon-Box-A31S-Android-Playback-R28-Meta-2G-16G/dp/B00PGV1...

100% agree with buksida...........get rid of Baidu, nasty piece of work. I use Firefox although the crashes are tempting me to use Chrome more. Also use Spybot 1.62 (the old version which is still available on the website) and Malwarebytes which is excellent. My choice of AV is Avast. Hope you get i...
