Re: Expat Poll: Top Country Choices For Leaving Thailand

Seriously looking at KL. Both my wife and I considered it before but we opted for Thailand.
10 yr visa on buying house using MM2H offer. 350000 ringitt in bank required.
We would keep our home here as a vacation home and the flights to Hua Hin from KL are a bonus as long as they survive,

Re: International Driving License (Permit)

Hi All

the UK permit uses the 1949 convention.
I have used one in Thailand for 13 consecutive years (13, 1 year permits).
You obviously have to be in the UK 1 time per year.

Re: Volunteer divers needed for Maya Bay reef restoration

Hi

checked out the pages but only saw offers of reef conservation courses.
I will be in Phuket at the end of May for the Rugby but would stay longer if divers still needed.
If anyone has more success with the contact pages please let me know.

Cheers

Re: Train Line Demolitions

Hello BB with reference to below I believe the article was in Hua Hin Today paper. I read somewhere yesterday that over 500 homes with over 700 dwellers were affected in Hua Hin. To me, the number of homes seems excessive, and the number of dwellers too small. Sorry guys, I can't remember where I re...

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

Hi All for a start confiscate and crush or possibly auction off to recoup funds all vehicles of those caught driving under the influence, no license, no tax or no insurance. No helmet confiscate vehicle until fine paid and if not paid crush it. Underage crush it unless parents pay fine. The number o...

Re: AirAsia to fly KL to Hua Hin from May 18

Hi All just returned from another KL trip. It appears things are getting smoother at Hua Hin Airport. Fast check in, easy boarding and still fairly well used. On the return the TM 6 was handed out on the plane, not at the arrival hall as my last trip, 4 desks working but the advice to sit at front o...

Re: Leather armchair to be recovered

Hi

We used a company called Thai Thai to recover 6 dining chairs. Very happy with their work.
They still exist but have moved location, I apologise because I do not know where but have seen their truck around the north of town.

Sorry Caller
thought you were using BKI's local nomenclature as Khon Kaen airport code would have been KKC.

Re: AirAsia to fly KL to Hua Hin from May 18

Hi All

I think the BKK to KK (Kota Kinabalu) flight starts in August and the initial fares are loss leader promotions. That said the last airline to do that route was Smile and it did not last very long.
