Fair comment Jockey, but I suspect that a lot of tourists didn't come this year because of the putsch (the previous year, the holidays would already have been booked by the time the September coup took place), and a lot of inward investment didn't come, either directly as a result or because of the ...

Samak may be far from ideal, but in the eyes of the world (and that means investment, capital inflow etc.) he is *way* better than a military dictatorship. So I would say that by default, he has to be good for Thailand. And I assume we all agree that he won't jump too high unless Thaksin tells him to.

12 baht and a bag of sticky rice for the extras! Now that is quality..... I have used Me & You quite a few times. It is by far *not* the cheapest at 400 for 1 hour. I go because I rate one of the ladies very highly, and always ask for her. If she isn't there, I don't go. The 400 breaks down that...

There isn't so much to be intrigued about - however, feel free... :thumb: It is indeed German but I am not. I spent more time in Frankfurt than any other city I ever lived in, but the passport is UK. But I also lived in Vienna, London, Singapore, Cardiff and a couple of other less glamorous places i...

Signed up, but lurked a lot

Hi, Spent most of the last 6 months in Thailand, and a lot of that in HH. Prior to that, visited many times going back originally to 1994 when I got hooked on diving. Originally from the UK, but haven't spent much time there in the last couple of decades, and don't much see that changeing. Decided l...
