Big Boy wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2018 1:42 pm Thank you Houdi, I always liked it there. We will have to go over there again to try it soon.
Big Boy,

We went into Oasis a few days ago. There has been some refurbishment and the food is definitely better than before.

Definitely worth a try and, in fact, we returned two days later.

Cheers

Re: Mr Burger 3 Re-opened as Oasis

Hi Big Boy, I thought that Oasis was a little further down the road just past Mr Burger 3. We took a look at it a while back but were not too impressed but it had only just opened. I will take a look today but think that Mr Burger 3 is still closed.

Chinese tourists at Majestic Creek

Bizarre day at Majestic Creek on Saturday. At least 200 Chinese tourists turned up and were allowed to rent buggies. They were NOT playing golf and there were four or five people in each buggy driving around the golf course. Needless to say it was complete chaos as they were drivng on the fairways a...

Re: Aroi Corner Restaurant on Canal Road

Regret to say that Aroi Restaurant will close at the end of August. We have been enjoying their excellent Thai Food for well over a year. Seems that the owner of the land has decided he wants it back - after the team running Aroi Corner built the restaurant and installed electricity and plumbing of ...

Re: Valium/xanax in hua hin

Hi Vinni,

It would be good to know how much it cost and where you obtained it. I use it from time to time and would like to know where to buy it when I run out.

Yes it should help you to relax/sleep on your journey.

Thanks

R.I.P. Peter. I have not seen him for several years. Was he unwell recently? Peter had a serious heart attack 4 years ago which led to him having a stent inserted. He recovered well and had been playing golf again. Two weeks ago he contracted Dengue Fever and spent a few days in hospital. He was re...

Re: Retirement extension Foreign Currency Account ?

Yes.

I have a 'Savings Foreign CurrencyDeposit Account' with Bangkok Bank. The Bank will give you a letter confirming the amount calculated in Thai Baht for use at Immigration. Make sure yo have a little extra in the account to allow for currency fluctuation.
