Re: Music in the Bars on Bintablock

This has got much, much worse over the years. Many bars just don't seem to care whether or not they get any customers as long as the girls are happy! As has previously been said, if you do manage to find a quiet bar then the noise from the bar along the street will drive you away. Police or army act...

Re: Best Place To Get A Massage

There are very few massage shops where you get ripped off. Every shop has a number of people working there. Some are very good and some are quite bad. If you don't choose the person you want it is a matter of luck whether you get a bad or a good one. Thus it is not the shop but the masseuse that cou...

Re: Kaeng Krachan Golf Course

If you look on internet the Nicklaus organization had nothing whatsoever to do with Kaeng Krachan. It's just a rumour started to attract more customers!

Re: wifi question

Could be your distance from his router, the number and type of walls between you and the router, the quality of the router, the speed of his broadband, the sites you are trying to access or a combination of all these.

Re: Chinese Restaurant, Soi 94

The food is very "English" Chinese with a menu from many years ago. Modern Chinese restaurants in Europe now have much more variety including spicy foods, hot pan, etc. from various parts of China. I have tried several dishes and can't complain about the quality. The taste is a bit bland b...

Re: What do you Like/Dislike most About Your Stay in Thailand?

My main dislike in Thailand are Farangs who live here and continually complain about Thai people and the Thai life style. If they don't like the way things are here they should go home!

Re: Is hua hin and cha am a dangerous area?

Hua Hin is a thousand times safer than any medium or large city in the Western World as far as crime is concerned. The roads are not safe. Your biggest chance of injury will be on the roads or in your own house. If you do not get involved in the criminal community you will be a lot safer in Hua Hin ...

Re: Snake Bites

I know all about caution, etc. My question however has not been answered. I would like to know approximately how often snake bites occur in the Hua Hin area. Are we talking about 1 a year or 1 a month or what?

Snake Bites

I have seen quite a lot of posts about people seeing snakes in their gardens here in Hua Hin. I have never heard any7 stories about someone being actually bitten by a snake. Does this often happen?

Roast Lamb for Sunday Lunch

Does anyone know where I can get a good Sunday Roast Lamb lunch in Hua Hin. For the last few months I have been going to Zabwer on Soi 112. In the last few weeks the quality there has dropped considerably and I am very disappointed. I know many places serving Roast Pork & Roast Chicken but I am ...

Re: Windows 10 Developments

On Saturday I had still not received a notification from Microsoft that I could upgrade to Windows 10 so I decided to do it anyway. I downloaded the upgrade from the Microsoft site (it seems to be freely available) and ran it. The download took about 25 minutes. The upgrade took about 90 minutes (no...

Re: Windows 10 Developments

I am not a Microsoft supporter. I have worked on many different systems. I wrote my first programs in 1964. I do enjoy trying anything that's new whether from Microsoft, Android or Apple.

Re: Windows 10 Developments

Of course you're right about backups. I always have all my files backed up to a local disc and the cloud. What I am saying is that problems are not normally caused by a new version of Windows. They are caused by an incorrect installation process or tweaks that have been made to the computer for vari...

Re: Windows 10 Developments

A very negative attiitude based on what? I have always installed new Windows and DOS versions immediately for the last 30 years or so. I have never had any trouble whatsoever. Maybe that is because I don't play around in the registry, etc.
