Re: Learning real estate in Thailand
I would suggest you take advantage of a 30 minute free consultation with Chavalit and partners. They helped me through a quite messy real estate transaction and did a great job. They are a board sponsor, Jane is the person to speak to there.

Re: Good Tiler... Whats a fair price?
I'd say a fair price also depends on how large your job is. If you are laying 4 m2 then the price is going to be higher than if you were laying 40m2. A 4m2 job may be completed in half a day but you may have to pay for 2 workers, there may be a lot of cuts involved so I wouldn't get too fixated on t...

Re: Solid wood floor vs Engineered wood floor
If you go to the blog page on the prime Asia web site the first article is a video of swing and slide doors. I had 7 sets of these installed last month with the largest 2 sets being 2.8m high by 7m wide. My project manager said that the prime Asia installation crew were one of the most professional ...

Re: Solid wood floor vs Engineered wood floor
If you make a trip to Bangkok visit their store on Ratchadpiesek ( MRT station sutisarn) it has a lot wider variety of things than Hua Hin and sometimes you can get better discounts if they are discontinuing a line. I just bought 400 m2 of porcelanosa tiles for my outside deck that they were discont...

Re: Solid wood floor vs Engineered wood floor
Have you checked out the arrow wood factory and showroom in Hua Hin? It's run by a Dutch guy and pretty much all of his product is exported to Europe but he does sell locally. I visited there a couple of months go and his engineered hardwood is some of the nicest I have seen. I decided to go with t...

Re: More power to my shower.
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the shower is built in and flush with the ceiling so a soak won't be possible. I may try spraying it with vinegar or a scale remover though. I didn't think of that.

Re: GBP vs THB
Under Obama the US economy has been driven by monetary policy rather than fiscal policy to create growth. If you believe Trump's victory speech then that's about to change. His infrastructure program will require huge fiscal spending and when it's all said and done that means more debt which equals ...

Re: More power to my shower.
Not just heaters go bad. I had a very expensive rain shower installed when I renovated my bangkok condo. It worked Ike a charm at first but now half the holes where the water comes out are clogged or partially clogged so the water shoots all over the place and some streams are a trickle and some are...

Re: Speaker Wire
Speaker wire is one of those things that audiophiles will get real heated over and claim all sorts of things. I bought a sound system for my bangkok condo about a year or so ago and had 6 KEF ceiling speakers installed. When it came to the speaker wire, the Audi shops were trying to sell me massivel...

I did not ask but It's not necessary for me as I just got the roof spray foamed. I used a local Hua Hin company and I'm very happy with the result.

Re: Palm Hills Juristic Person (Moo Baan)
I have to agree with Sunandfun, I'm not prepared to blindly vote for something without first having seen the relevant information to enable me to make an informed decision. If there is a business plan and projected financial statements for the proposed new juristic person then maybe the OP can point...

Re: Builders supply store
1 year ago ,roughly 200 metres, ceiling ,delay between floors of couple months ,240 baht per sq metre. Thanks Hinway, the store was exactly where you said it was and I visited it this morning. Price was 250 baht per M2 for 9mm board all in. Quite an impressive set up for a small store. No nonsense, ...

Re: The Home Air-Conditioner Thread
^^^^^^^^^^ That is some mighty air cons! Are you sure about the numbers? 288,000 BTU total is 24 tons of cooling. Have you considered Cassette type of units? These fit flush into the ceiling and are not obtrusive. They are also available with multiple room units, up to 4, that run from one ...
