Different strokes for different folks.

Me, I enjoy peace and calm at home (lived in too many cities) but I like to be able to drive to a city area that offers activities.

My trips to Cha Am fit that, easy drive to HH but still good restaurants, etc in Cha Am

Yes, profit is fine, that is what drives the world. Rip off is bad

It's unfortunate, but true the world over. I see a lot of the worst in people as a CPA here in California. Money sure brings out the worst in people (good thing I've given all mine to a ex-wife!). I see family squabbles over estate money, lying and cheating between siblings, it's really disgusting. ...

I heard Hua Hin is the dryest place to be. It's quite good fun. You have to remember exactly where the leaks are from the last time it rained and in which order they start to leak. I now have an ongoing bet with my wife as to who can catch the most water in one day. Maybe criss cross the floor and ...

Western magazines

Hey All,

I'm a avid reader, and here in the states subscribe to numerous magazines.

Anyone have experience in shipping these to Hua Hin area?

I'll sacrafice my subscription to playboy, but the economist, mens health, etc I want to keep.

Thanks!

"Why We Split Up"

She told me we couldn't afford beer anymore and I'd have to quit. Then I caught her spending $65.00 on make-up and I asked how come I had to give up stuff and not her. She said she needed the make-up to look pretty for me. I told her that was what the beer was for... I don't think she's coming back.

I believe the trick is to get yourself to Hua Hin, and rent for a period. Let your wife put the word out, and see what is on offer. Play hard to get - don't be rushed into anything (your wife, if she's anything like mine will be the worst offender). That is certainly my cunning plan. I like it! Exc...

Property purchase question

Hi All, I've read through much of the forum and have a question I didn't see addressed (If I missed them please forgive!). In shopping generally I let my Thai wife do the bargaining, with me in the distance often. Usually she will negotiate a much better price than when I am along, and has been chas...

Not many of us Yanks on this site or in HH. You will soon get use to the Queens English, but I doubt if we will figure out their geography, "futball" ,humour, or cricket. My wife & I head to Thailand on Sept. 19th. BKK with her family and then down to HH. We've gone there for about 3-...
