Only the same as taking from an underground tank which most pumps are designed for. Another FACT.

Re: Wanting new water tank 2'000L
Just stating facts, the DOS tanks sold by Home pro have 3 clearly marked brass inset threaded holes. One 1" at the top marked inlet and 2 at the bottom on the other side 2" marked outlet and 1" marked drain. Another fact, I do not take water from the top of the tank only from a 1"...

I found Home Pro cheapest in area, DOS COMM 001 S--2000L, Baht 8,490 Sandstone, ordered 19/04/2016 1 week wait, free delivery. They also delivered 1" and 3/4" pipes at same time 4 meter wont fit into the Jazz. Ran a feed from Pranburi water into tank through float valve, 3/4" pipe alt...

Re: oven repair
Hi Jungle Below is a copy of email from Whirlpool Bangkok. Information is about 18 months old when Yuttana rescued our bricked dish washer. Although the 032 number produced a English speaker I seem to remember I had to converse by phone and email with Bangkok to send map and have them translate my r...

Re: Laminate passport
RCer, OP states he wants to laminate copies, not has passport. Although not enforced Thai law states that you must carry Thai ID or Passport at all times, Thai driving license has your passport number and will normally suffice. Slightly off topic a copy of your car registration will not suffice as o...

Re: Laminate passport
Sorry can not help with your request. However, I can laminate up to A4, and would be happy to do this for you, but It would mean a trip to my house on Soi Mon Mae. I have created a word template to scale a scanned copy of the main page and permission to stay stamp to fit a standard 65x95mm pouch, wa...

Re: Going to mains water
Had Pranburi water installed a couple of years back and it depends on how many residents the costs are shared between. The road is cut and the main laid, it is then concrete filled. Next the meter installer comes at an extra cost and digs it up, installs the meter (only one outside) and leaves a voi...

Re: Aussie Couple preperation
If you are serious about retiring here, I have written about our experience in obtaining a O-A visa one year multi on this site. When first entering Thailand Immigration will give you a I year permission to stay stamp. A bit more complicated to obtain as police checks, medical and letter from Austra...

Re: Battery Backup
JJB, Just interested but why AAA batteries? is space/weight an issue? They will solder but can be messy, good iron and preparation is required. If you were prepared to make a battery pack what charger do you have? I have a couple of 7.2V model car battery packs going spare and enough never been used...

Re: White Coat Hypertension
Was advised by Doc that the machines are highly battery dependent, which has proven true with our machine which gives wide ranging readings between old and new batteries.
Now have a draw half full of half drained AA batteries, still good for the wireless mouse.

Re: The 5 most British dishes
World of difference between a Jock pie and a Bridie, JP are short crust and yes swimming in grease. Bridies are pasty shaped, Puff pastry as were the round meat patties. Bridies so called I understand cos the were traditionally part of a wedding feast. Not being a Scot, could not understand their pa...

Re: The 5 most British dishes
Both Mrs C and I love home cooking and regularly have all the traditional dishes mentioned above. My best memories were food from the NAAFI wagon at break time, hot meat patties at 4d, old pence, (now banned by the EU for not containing enough meat). Similar to a Scottish Bridie but round, ever trie...

Of interest to stamp collectors or Kiwi rugby fanatics.
Do kids or grown ups for that matter still collect stamps? My wife received a Birthday card from the UK, which had 4 pretty ordinary stamps, face value GBP 2.25!!! The interest value is that they were date time franked by the Gatwick mail centre with the Message: Congratulations to New Zealand winne...

Re: Paying your electricity bill by direct debit
I use Bangkok bank #2 on the main road just outside MV. Very different experiences in setting up direct debits for my utilities, they have a list of companies who they deal directly with for DDs. As an aside HSBC Bangkok (now defunct) could only pay utilities in the city not provincial Hua Hin. Back...
