Re: La Rumba - soi 94

Big, indoor/outdoor place, about 50-100m before the r/w tracks. Terrible time of year to open.

As for directions, I nominate as the most useless piece of info -------- Near 7/11

Re: Hua Hin Water Jungle in 2014?

As opposed to floating must and Venezia, well thought out, good location, premier consultants. It looks as if it might be a leader in the water park business. Could dramatically change that end of town.
1500 visitors a day certainly would.

Re: Fish and Chips

Yes, but its miserable place to eat, AND I hate eating off Styrofoam with plastic k& f.
So I arrive at Victoria with my own plate and fork, order, tell them I am in dragon bar and they deliver the food there.

Re: Tourism set for B1bn revival plan

Do you really think ten thousand + in a day?????? The figures for Malaysians coming over for cheaper shopping and other comforts is huge. The real numbers could be calculated but then when did reality really matter.

Re: Tourism set for B1bn revival plan

Something I had not thought about. Evey time a foreigner does a visa run, the re reentry is counted as a tourist entry to Thai, that sure boosts the numbers that TAT churns out.

Re: ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Movies at Hua Hin Cinema

That's true, I hav never been to a movie in English that was even 10% full. Some people just like to whine. I have heard expats complain about the lack of quality classical muic, but never saw them at the excellent concerts at the Hyatt or Dusit

Two new buildings being built close to the roa. From the beach view, it appears no work on original buildings, now gutted.

The hash house harriers, the running/stumbling club has had some very good runs there. Must have been a huge project to build all those walkways.

Re: Restaurant News

There is always something happening. The coffee shop in the collonade mall, tom n toms is closed and is being reworked. Be interesting to see who goes in. One franchise I like is Au BonPain, used to eat b'fast there when in BKK.
