Re: International money transfers FROM Thailand

My last transfer out was a few weeks ago at Kasikorn, it was one simple form, no questions where the money came from, I have transferred a fair amount out in the last 5 months since selling a home and land. Maybe it is like immigration it all depends on the person you deal with, maybe some know the...

I think you need to give us some examples of the sort of thing you're objecting to, especially with 'racist and xenophobic rants'. I didn't mean Hua Hin forum for that type of posts but there are plenty on the other one. I'm not going to sort through them for you. Like I said "I'm not singling...

Why do people post

I understand why some people will post a joke, insult or opinion but not why they post in threads where people are seeking information. Is it to raise their post count? What is the prize? Do they have too much time on their hands? Get off on trolling? Like the anonymity so they can get some psycholo...

Re: International money transfers FROM Thailand

A simple Google brings up lots of options. ("transferring money out of thailand") My own personal experience is with Bangkok Bank with whom I transferred several amounts over the years. I always gave the reason as education (school fees, living expenses etc). I can't relate experiences th...

Re: International money transfers FROM Thailand

I don't know if kasikorn has some internal regulation that makes transferring money overseas difficult, but a few months ago I was in the kasikorn branch in Market Village and there was a foreigner talking to one of the tellers. He wanted to send 2 million baht from his account to his wife in The P...

Re: International money transfers FROM Thailand

I was at Kasikorn today. They counted the bhat that had been deposited from out of the country over the last three months and told me that was the limit I could transfer out. My Thai wife could transfer more if she would give a reason. So I guess some people can transfer as much as they want and oth...

Re: New retirement visa rule - show 800k every 3 months

Nothing will change. Your application for extension will be checked with your previous 12 months to ascertain that you are following the rules. I hope T.O.M. is not going the income route. Immigration will soon get fed up of him turning up every month to show that he's just transferred 65K into his...

Amazing how something that should be so simple is really complicated. Especially if you don't want to donate 800K to the Thai economy.

Re: International money transfers FROM Thailand

K-bank wanted documents to prove what the money was for last time I tried it. BAY is much better, you can send 100k a time via the online banking website once you have setup recipient accounts. Cryptocurrency is by far the easiest, quickest and cheapest for me anyway. Which Cryptocurrency? Can you ...
