Re: Train derailed near Soi 112

Nice photographs and brief on the environment at the time James. Should have considered a career as a SOCO Forensic investigator. Irrespective of blame apportionment at the end of the day the resultant outcome was one truck rolled up like a ball, a wrinkled rail car, infrastructure damage and delays...

Re: Urgent request for visa advice following death of my husband

My sincere condolences on you recent loss and the circumstance in which currently find yourself. I am a little suprised that a guarantor is required as the wording on the visa application required under "additional requirements for Oa visa" require a person of reference which would imply a...

Re: Train derailed near Soi 112

Looking down the tracks from soi 102 the area under the flyover is clearly visible so it beggars the question what was the train driver doing at the time?

Re: Best Bank to use for meeting Visa criteria

I would very much concur with the comments made by James with respect how you approach the bank, mode of dress and account set up for day to day use, ATM cards here have little intrinsic protection and are are easily targeted by cloners and skimmers.Have recently gone through the process of opening ...

Re: Building Contract at Nhong Yao

I will be quite interested to know how you have fared with this process as I m still considering the option of building. Whilst confident of the applicable standards in OZ I am not sure how this quite works in thailand.

Re: Removing excess water from salt water pool

If you need to remove water from the pool normally you can achieve this by closing off the skimmer box draw pipe so that water is drawn from the hydrostatic valve/waste drain located in the bottom of the pool. set the Spyder valve to 'Waste' and switch on the pump. water should then flow through the...

Re: Hua Hin police check: driving without licence and passport

As far as I am aware Thailand has not withdrawn from participation through the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (1949) or the Vienna convention on Road Traffic (1968) and relevant MOUs with participating Countries regarding the use and application of Foreign Drivers Licences in Thailand. As I under...

Re: Buying a mid-range family car; Hua Hin's dealerships

We found the best value for money was the E limited which has all the features we wanted and could not see the sense In getting the top of the line for the sake of a sunroof. We had also noted whilst the current HRV does not hav a built in navigator Honda have an app that can be downloaded For about...

Re: Buying a mid-range family car; Hua Hin's dealerships

Just went through the process with the Honda dealerships to purchase a HRV. Had concerns about Honda Hua hin with respect to servicing standards for the vehicle having spoken to,a number of Honda owners in the area. Ended up doing the best deal through Honda Pranburi. The showroom is not as flash as...

Re: Strange Odor From Air Conditioner

Notwithstanding the wet socks it is possibly a refridgerant known as R22 chlorodiofluoromethane which has been banned in most countries. If it stops getting cold or slow to cool a refridgerant leak most likely as a result of micro fracture in the plumbing. generally caused as a result of poor strain...
