Just for the record i dont think we need any Starbucks in Hua Hin, plenty of little espresso/coffee bars around:)

I always have a bottle of Jamiesons handy, at the moment i have a nice signature reserve i will be enjoying in the coming weeks.

HHTel I should have clarified, i obtained my 1yr spouse visa in Australia before visiting Thailand, and it was a very simple process, no interviews, just provided some basic documentation. Maybe more complicated in the UK, and i chose the spouse visa as i believe it will allow me to work in Thailand...

Hi If you are married to a Thai national as i am, best off with a 1 yr spouse visa, this will allow multiple entries into Thailand, and you wnt need to visit the immugration office in Hua Hin every 90 days to get an extension. As others have highlighted do you homework before committing to a decision, you need to come to Hua Hin for a 2 week stay, take the time to talk to property agents, get a feel for where you wish to live, and if possible talk to any potential owners that may have already bought into exisiting and new...
