Re: Policing, west of 88 rail crossing

I was done for 2k 2 nights ago by these.Had a few beers and no helmet, I am fairly sure they were genuine. Stopped several Thais in cars, ordered them out and looked around the car. Thais also stopped but waved on without helmet. It was around 9.30pm

I hate to be pedantic but how can you pre-order anything. Either you order it or you don't.

Re: medical tablets

In Hua Hin, try the big Chinese pharmacy on the corner of PK and Chomsin. I find them about the cheapest and are very widely stocked. The best person to speak to there is the Chinese guy who speaks reasonable English. Just in case of pronunciation difficulties, take along the packets containing the ...

Re: Lasting effects of a massage

Soi Givemebaht is not the place a professional trained masseur would work. Either way, the lady should aways ask if you want 'strong' or 'soft' massage and stop if it appears to be hurting.

Re: The hamburger was all pork

Doh ... ham is meat from a pig hence HAMburger
Beef is meat from a cow, hence BEEFburger

Perhaps the OP would be happier if they were labelled PIGburgers and Cowburgers
I wonder what the OP would expect to find in a steak pie.

Re: money transfers

I had problems doing online transfers with Santander as they insisted on sending an authorisation code via SMS. Apparantly non PAYG with 12Call wont accept what it regards as commercial SMS from the UK. Many phone cally later I found someone who believed that this was the case and set it up over the...

Remember to keep all copies i=of transfers into Thailand, if you want to transfer a large amount out of Thailand they want to see where the money came from originally

Re: Drink spiked ???????

I have never been in the Romantic Bar as I am heartily sick of all the girl-hassle, high prices and noise of Soi GiveMeBaht but I agree this story does sound implausable. Of course spiking drinks can occur anywhere in the world but always with a motive of theft. Never heard of it to one half of a co...

Re: Cash registers, cashiers & change

No calculator / computer and they are lost. It always makes me smile to see the look of astonishment on a cashiers face when you give them the right amount of money without needing the register to add it up for you.

If you are looking for 2-3 bungalow (guessing - but with a small garden for the small one) you sure wont find anything here. You are looking at 20k in Hua Hin

Re: Bar Papa Gita or Papa Gyta or something like that

Nice bar, prices same same for the town centre. Girls always friendly but not at all pushy or overbearing I have to agree about the pool table - the bar really is'nt big enough for it but thats the same with so many bars who feel a pool table is a must.
