Re: Warning - Friend drugged & robbed in Hua Hin
Not sure James. He did tell me that his notebook was password protected where the average joe wouldn't be able to access it but I guess that wouldn't stop someone with a bit of tech expertise. I'll pass this info on to him though. Thanks.

Re: Warning - Friend drugged & robbed in Hua Hin
I have attached photos of both the women taken from the CCTV at the condo. I have watched the footage and it shows them all arriving at about 1am. My mate was walking fine at the time so suggests he wasn't too drunk. Now whether he made the smartest decision to allow them into his place is neither h...

Warning - Friend drugged & robbed in Hua Hin
This is mainly posted just as a warning to other Hua Hin residents that may go out drinking alone later at night. On Friday night (5th June), an Aussie mate of mine went into town to watch the footy and have a few beers. He then went to a bar near the Hilton when the Police came around at about 1am ...

Re: Any Forex Traders in Hua Hin
Hey ahandpatsy,
Using MT4 as my go to trading platform with a few extra add ons like trade manager, EAs etc. I track and trade just about all of the major currencies against each other and avoid the exotics. The majority of my trading is off the 1hr, 4hr and sometimes Daily charts. Cheers.

NRL State of Origin QLD v NSW
Just wondering if there is any interest in the annual State of Origin rugby league series between the great Queensland side and the poor excuse for a rugby league side from south of the border in New South Wales. Game one is tomorrow (Wed 27th May) with kick off around 5pm HH time. An Aussie mate of...

Re: Embassy letter to open bank account?
Just an update for anyone trying to open a bank account here in Hua Hin, I did have success today. I am currently on a Tourist Visa and planning on changing over to Non O retirement type visa very shortly. I was planning on doing this in Bangkok as I qualify both for age and finances, but the issue ...

Re: Any Forex Traders in Hua Hin
All quiet on the Forex trading scene then. No probs. Dundrillin, my forex info is all pretty short term stuff where I am in and out in either a few hours or a few days at most. Probably not much use to expats relying on advice re major currency shifts for transferring funds etc. And Cozza, if you ge...

Re: type O blood urgently required at Hua Hin Hospital
I am O Negative and was an off an on donor in Oz for quite a few years. They use to ring me up at anytime when I lived in Darwin for urgent cases. Possibly due to small population and not many of us having this type. Went to give blood a few months back and as I had been working in PNG Oct 2013 to M...

Any Forex Traders in Hua Hin
Hey guys, Not sure if this is in the right section or not, but I was wondering if there are any Forex Traders in Hua Hin or surrounds. I'm a keen fx trader myself and always looking to hook up with other traders just to exchange ideas or help each other out. It can be a very lonely pastime if you ar...

Re: Wat Khao Krailat in Khao Takiab
Thanks for the tip big boy. We live at the Seacraze condos so it was only a short walking distance for us. Headed up there just after 5.30pm today. Being pretty new to LOS, we just aren't sure what the protocols are with visiting temples. Been to a couple that have been open to the public for fairs ...

Re: Embassy letter to open bank account?
Can I ask what visa you are on sandyhhh347? The reason I ask is that I attempted to open a savings account with Bangkok Bank in HH (next to Market Village branch) a couple of months ago and they refused me on the grounds I didn't have the letter from the consul, or a letter from Immigration regardin...

Re: Captain Doug's Pub
Can't answer your question at the moment as I am out of country but I do live the Seacraze normally. It is one of the quietest places around with what the wife and I would consider expensive drink prices, It has the potential to be a really good sports bar for that area, but they seem to have missed...

Re: Places to meet forum members and others
I'll give my 2 cents worth after living there for 3 months so far. You may like to try the Urban Fuzion bar opposite the Police Station as it has a few expats hang out there to watch the NRL, Super Rugby, AFL and Soccer. That is normally my go to place, but currently in Vietnam until 7th May. Also E...

Re: Another Aussie saying hello...
Hey AussieG, no probs on the info. We are actually leaving HH on the 28th heading to Vietnam for about 10 days to activate the 2nd entry on our Thai tourist visa on our return. We were considering heading up to Hellfire Pass for ANZAC Day as we are both ex RAAF, but it just got too tight with our Vi...
