Re: Men and their mistresses

Getting back to men and their mistresses: If Mr.VS told me he was going off for the night to sleep with his mia noi, he'd find his clothes in the klong outside our house the next morning. On the other hand, from what I've seen and talked about with students, very few of them have both mum and dad l...

Re: Homes for old age people in Thailand

Actually I didn't, my comment is that a retirement home in Thailand is feasible as many people will be able to get health cover at reasonable cost. I don't think anyone would say it is suitable for everybody, many retirement homes in the U.K. are extremely expensive and many are low quality. [/quote...

Even if bars do close for the 3 days isn't it no more than everyone has expected would happen? More importantly shouldn't expats join in and show their respect.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

LOL, checking or washing the wall? Regarding the houses on the front, I've had cause to visit Victor Guest House a few times recently. This is a series of original preserved old houses, modified for use as a guest house. Inside the substantial grounds it is really like stepping back in time. I find...

Manchester to Bangkok on Etihad £458, for 8th December 2014, until 21st April 2105 That's a fantastic deal....lol Aeroflot have always been on the cheap end. However, my guess is that once you've used them, you'll never use them again! Oh yes. But as I recall Tel you DID use them again for the retu...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I only visit twice a year for a month at a time, but i find it very sad with the demolitions and beach chair/bed closures etc. I suppose the powers that be are trying to do a Pattaya by making the front a locals and tourist area with the bars being encouraged to operate the other side of Petchkasem...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Logical Absurdity-- that plan is not logical---- If there is a plan-- its to make HH dull and quiet, thats what the Visiting BKK Thais want. Actually apart from the bit about motorbike gangs the plan WOULD make HH dull and quiet. A shrine in fact. It has already been noted that the market stalls al...

OK here's a bit of Thai thinking. Extend the temple grounds, thus increasing capacity in the grounds for err.. well, you know. Then have more chance of imposing restrictions of Binta nightlife due to close proximity ? continuing your idea to it's logical absurdity; turn hua hin into a religious art...
