Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

We had a couple of minutes worth here at the bottom of Soi 88, near the railway crossing. It was nothing spectacular and has all dried up now

Re: Upgrading Windows Operating System

I would suggest saving all the stuff you need on to a new stand alone hard-drive or a few usb sticks and buy youself a new PC. Your old operating (OS) system is never going to be uprated. There are some good deals around for new systems. I recently bought a Lenovo all in one, 1TB drive 22'' monitor ...

Re: China Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Children under five and adults above the age of 70 and those with underlying health problems are strongly recommended to stay home.

Good to read that it's only a strong recommendation. See PeteC's post above. Normal(ish) service will be resumed.

Re: China Coronavirus (Covid-19)

I'm 71.
I go out a 6am every morning to do a 6k walk. I'm fitter than the majority of 50 to 60 year olds that are retired here. Am I supposed to stop doing what I do............. they can stick that one where the sun don't shine. See you in the morning.

Re: Streaker - Don't look Ethel!!!

Getting back to topic......... I see this guy every morning while out on my morning walk, around 06.50ish. Pretty sure he's got a screw or 2 loose. He lives on the other side of the road, opposite the Tessaban office block. He runs across the road, up onto the Tessaban garden, takes off his t-shirt,...

Re: Purchasing an Air Fryer

BB.
My Actifry needs a teaspoonful of oil ( there is a small plastic measure include) and 30 minutes when I do Chips etc. I like Chicken wings, no need to add any oil because the skins have enough fat content anyway. Again 30 minutes ...... delicious.

Re: Purchasing an Air Fryer

I had a Tefal Actifry when I was in UK (Cyprus too when I was living there). One of my first purchases when I re-located here (Hua Hin). Bought it from Powerbuy on Petchcasem Rd/Soi 88 junction. Around about 3K Baht but worth every Baht.

Re: Health insurance now mandatory for long-stay foreigners

I did my renewal in December without any mention of insurance or anything else. I was asked for my address twice even though it was on the paperwork and I had also written in on the accompanying map (must have been my turn for the grumpy one that day 555). As a aside a friend told me this morning th...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Car Park

Went there on my Scooter on Friday morning........... usual parking spots for bikes near Petchkasem had been closed off with all 2 wheeled traffic being directed to an unmade park at the back of the hospital. Didn't look to see if there was any rear exit to use although what I assume to be the Klong...
